My calm, patient and confident disposition is welcomed by all pets and puts them to ease. I understand just how important your pet is to you and take pride in being attentive and focused when caring for them. I have a ton of sniff mats, puzzle toys and treat dispensers to give your dog the mental work they need and desire. Dog walking is my favorite cardio and I love allowing them to explore and sniff. I deeply enjoy working with dogs and helping them to navigate life in a calm and confident manner. Allowing dogs to be dogs is one of my mottos - if they wanna splash in the mud, dig or roll in the grass, they can have at it! I'd be happy to give them a bath if needed after a day full of fun! If you have any concerns or want help with behaviors, I also offer training or advice. I'd be open to working on leash training and manners as well. I'm a reptile lover as well! I have 4 pet snakes, a boa constrictor, ball python, kingsnake and Stimsons python. I'm familiar with temperature, humidity and feeding needs for reptiles and would be more than happy to check on them as well. My experience: I have had a dog in my life every single day since birth. They're family. I've owned Belgium Malinois, Rottweilers, Pitbull terriers, American Bullies, American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Australian Shepherds, Boston Terriers, and a few mutts. I've trained every dog I've owned using positive reinforcement methods and treat or toy motivation. I stay updated on current methods and studies for training and behaviors. My current dog, an American Bully rescue, was just sitting in the back of a shelter in South Florida getting overlooked. He was 4 1/2 years old and lived his life as a backyard breeder's stud, locked in a kennel for weeks at a time, abused and never allowed to explore or play. He had never trusted or ever bonded with a human. Once I brought him home we went to work. We started with building confidence, leash manners and building trust. He slowly came out of his shell and began rolling in the grass and absolutely loving every second of life. He appreciated my calm and patient approach and for once his space and needs were respected. Two years later he knows 30+ commands and is a calm, confident, happy dog that loves hikes and swimming. He's still reactive at times but progress is not linear and every day is an adventure.
