I am a professional in my career. I lawyer by training an worked for Fortune 500 companies. I can be counted on to show up every time, execute on responsibilities with little oversight, and do what is required even when it hasn't be articulated or specified in an agreement. I like dogs and I hate seeing a dog in DC not have the chance to get out and go for nice long walks and enjoy their time out, not just taking a dog out to relieve themselves, but rather to have a chance to enjoy the outdoors and feel liberated. My family always had a dog when I was growing up. I was the primary care giver. I enjoyed walking our dog, washing him, giving him his meds, wrestling with him, scratching in places that made him patter his feet. Showing him love. The same types of things I would do with your dog, depending on what your dog likes.

Whether the dog is safe for me and others. I don't mind managing a high spirited dog. But if the dog is aggressive towards strangers, to include the dog walker, other pedestrians and pets, I would have reservations about being able to protect the dog owner from liability associated with the dogs bad acts.
A typical day
I will find the an area of green space where the dog has a chance to feel the grass under their feet, smell a variety of natural growing things, and stop as often as the dog would like to explore a scent or go in a direction they would like to go. Not just my route. Far too often a dog is pulled away from where it is on to a scent to continue the walk for the owner's convenience. My time with the dog will be the dogs time. That is why I am there. Not to get home to cook for the kids, get to my errands, or anything else busy dog owners have to get home to do.
