Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs my entire life. My family always knew dogs were very special to me. I have done dog duties from bathing, feeding, walking, giving meds, and most of all love. I truly believe pets are not just animals, they are family. I advocate for them since they cannot. I currently have a Shepard mix that is my world. Our favorite things to do together are go to dog parks, go for walks, and play fetch with her toys.

We are so glad we found Shyla on Rover!! Our senior dog, Ozzie, is always happy to see her for his daily walks, and I appreciate how patient she is with our old man. She’s great at quick communication and asking questions to make sure all our pets are well taken care of during her visits. We highly recommend her!!

I have known Shyla all her life and she is a caring, gentle and loving dog owner. She places dogs above all else. Our dogs are excited to see her when she visits our house. When I come into a client's home the safety and building trust with the animal is the number one priority. I have been around many different temperament animals and want to make sure they feel as safe and loved as if I were a regular guest, especially in the comfort of their home. I will accommodate with what is needed for the safety of the pet and myself and make sure to handle any task given to me with care. I have experience with escape artists, dogs who need meds, dogs who don’t get along with other dogs, dogs who are timid towards new people, you name it. Anything that is needed I will make my responsibility to get it taken care of.

I would love to know anything that you think is helpful in providing. Every animal is unique and special. They deserve the care and love as much as anything else. Even if you think it is the smallest bit of information send it my way. Some helpful things to let me know if you are struggling to think of things would be does your pet get along with other animals, is your pet afraid or timid around new people, what level of energy does your animal have, are there any special needs or restrictions I should know about, etc. Any fun facts about your animal will always bring a smile to my face.
A typical day
When watching a dog, the type of dog is always an important factor in decision making when it comes to the activities with the dog. I am all about taking dogs for walks, to dog parks, allowing them to play fetch or with their toys, or even curling up for some cuddles. One of my favorite places to take my dog is the Bluffs in Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree area. It is a mild hike allowing dogs to get energy out and plenty of places to sniff and go to the bathroom.

Availability
My schedule is pretty flexible. I am available for early mornings, daytime, evenings, and night visits or walks. I enjoy spending my time with animals and giving them the love and attention, they deserve. Maybe you are gone on vacation or have long days in the office, I want to make sure your animal is taken care of and doesn't feel lonely. I offer services throughout the week and various times of the day, because even though we value and cherish our animals the outside world may not consider your furry one.
