Your Best Friend's Best Friend

Pet care experience

Hello Fremont (and you non-Fremonters too!) I'm fresh to the neighborhood, and only moved to the city a few months ago! Since my arrival, the first thing I noticed were dogs, doGS, DOGS. And I've loved it. Store fronts with water bowls for the doggies and signs and venues stating that "dogs drink free," down to the Meowtropolitan, it's really no wonder that this city has stolen my heart. My few take aways from wandering the sidewalks are as follows. There are too many people who don't have time to let there dogs be dogs, and too many lost dog flyers. Life is busy, and sometimes you don't have time to let your dog sniff at everything, or the energy for bursts of running through the park or down the sidewalk- but I do! And on the other more serious topic, dogs go missing too frequently. I combat this through staying mindful, checking that their harnesses are secure and being careful when I'm opening doors or gates. A little spatial awareness can go a long way! Additionally, I welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes, and do not discriminate against breeds of any kind. That said, there are things to go over. Very poorly behaved pups (aggression towards people and other dogs) may be a deal breaker, but I like to do test-walks to see how the dogs are on a leash, outdoors, and without mom or dad. That usually decides if I'm tough enough for the pup in question! It's also important to add that bad manners (jumping, licking, leash tugging) are NOT deal breakers! I'll even be happy to work with them on our walks to see if we can correct whatever the bad behavior is, but I am no trainer, so any results would be case by case. I enjoy doing my walks nearby my client's home, so there will be a little learning as I go, but I am punctual, reliable, responsible, and most importantly, I love animals. It's hard to do something that you really love poorly! Rates, scheduling, and meet and greets are subjective and often changing, so please don't hesitate to be talkative, ask questions, and specify everything important to you (you can never assume I'll know) in your messages! I truly look forward to meeting you and your fuzz-children! Stay safe out there in these uncertain times!

Shyann was fantastic! She watched our pups for the first time when we went backpacking, so I had no cell service during her stay. She was so thorough taking notes and asking questions during the meet and greet that I wasn’t worried leaving them with her! One of our dogs is very anxious and is on medication, and Shyann made sure to spend plenty of time at the house with her and got her medications right. She sent updates and pictures that came through once I got service back and we came home to happy pups!

Thanks to Shyann I had a nice relaxing vacation. She was such a great sitter, it left me with no worries. My dogs were in such good hands and were very happy when I arrived home. She left my house in perfect order. I look forward to future trips now that I don't have to worry about my dogs while I am gone.

Shyann is so great with my puppies! I trust her completely with them and she did a great job with them while we were away. She even helped us with a last minute issue we had. I will definitely use her services again. She’s a great sitter!!

A typical day

We'll walk, run, and play if they'll let me engage them, but also have the opportunities to SNIFF and enjoy their surroundings, without being tugged around or hurried along. It's important to expend some of their energy, but equally important to be STIMULATED mentally by their surroundings!
