A kind and passionate animal lover !

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Shola! I really love spending time with dogs / cats and have always owned them throughout my life ( as well as many other animals ). I’ve recently just moved into Theale and want to bring my love for animals with me. On my profile it does state I have 1 Dog (Dougie) and 2 Cats (Hobnob&Chico), they live with my mum in Sunbury, not with me in Theale. I have a one bedroom flat that I share with my partner, Scott (he is absolutely amazing with dogs) and it’s feeling a little bit lonely without a lovely dog or cat around. I really enjoy being outdoors and having fun running around with dogs and being one with nature. I also love being indoors making up games and playing with toys with your fur babies! I try engage them as much as I can and see what clicks with them the best, I will also play mentally stimulating games with treats and finding games to knacker them out. I have gained a lot of experience in taking care of dogs from my previous job at a Doggy Day Care and through my regular customers on Rover. I’m a huge animal lover and devote all my time to making sure their needs are met. I have picked up a lot of skills from my previous job at a DoggyDayCare which include my Level 2 Canine Handling Certificate and my role really helped me become more vigilant in my everyday life and know how to build enrichment for your dogs; as well as that Ive been shown how to feed, wash and transport dogs correctly and safely. As well as that I value my customers / regular customers as they have helped me understand animals in different ways. I’ve learnt that each individual animal has their own special traits and quirks to them and I absolutely adore finding them out. I love how everyone has their own personality I can have fun with. I will care for your dog as it is my own and make sure they are loved. I make sure I am loyal and clear with my communication between me and my customers. I value each and every person with honourable respect in their homes and with their fur babies. I love to clean as well so I’m more than happy to spot clean your home and always make sure I leave your house spotless and very tidy. I am very passionate to start my own career in the animal care industry and aspire to have my own animal sanctuary one day with rescued animals on it and be sustainable off my own land.

Shola has been absolutely fantastic in caring for my dog, I couldn't recommend her highly enough. My pooch has always struggled to interact with people she's not too familiar with but with Shola's help she's now very happy and social. I work long hours and with the flexibility Shola has my working life has become a lot easier to manage. All in all a fantastic human being and truly incredible with dogs. 5* recommendation.

One of the best dog sitter I’ve had ! Highly recommended ! If you’re looking for a responsible and loving dog sitter - Shola is the one ! She’s very meticulous and responsible, more importantly, she enjoys the time with your dog. You can go on holiday with a peace of mind. ?? she will do everything you tell her to, and she keeps your house clean and tidy ! Look no further, she’s the one !

Shola is the most caring person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her heart is consumed for a love of animals. I see she has a real connection with every animal she meets and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my little boi Roley.

Shola was great with our dog Grace - we really appreciated how she came to visit before our booking and we felt totally comfortable leaving Shola in our home with Grace. Thanks Shola!

I take pride in keeping your home clean and tidy as well as keeping your babies entertained and loved. Im more than happy to give them food and make sure their water is topped up and they have toilet breaks / walks throughout the day. There is a small bit of grass outside my flat where dogs can go to the toilet and have some fresh air, it’s very safe and a quiet area. There’s plenty of greenery around for me to take your dogs to and a river near by.

Information Shola B. would like to know about your pet

Any types of allergies? Do they get on with other dogs / cats? Can I take them on a stretchy lead? Are they a rescue and do I need to watch out for any type of behaviour / avoid certain people or places? Are they allowed to play games with balls? Do they get food possessive? What’s the best way for me to get them to listen to me? Are they empowered by attention and affection?

A typical day

On a typical day for me I’d start my morning with a lovely fresh walk in the morning air, take your pup to one of my local parks and let them have a nice stretch and run about. I will play games with them I like throwing the ball and getting them to come back with it. This helps stimulate their mind as well as their bodies. I’m happy to stick to your feeding schedule and allow the dog to eat and have some water, I will encourage healthy water breaks too. My garden is always open and I will also guide them to the toilet outside if i haven’t seen them go in a while. We will play lots of games at home like tug of war, some basic training to help get their minds active and in the late afternoon / evening we will have lots of cuddles and cozy times relaxing. My pug will probably join as he loves a snuggle! In the evening we’ll go on a lovely stroll down by the river or even at another park and come home and have some dinner. Possibly take for another walk just before bed if they have too much energy , go for a little run even.
