I take each day as a growth opportunity, so I demand respect and rule-following from each dog, whether they were my rules or the owners. I am a by-the-book rule follower, with a heavy emphasis in safety. That being said, I also enjoy giving the dog a good workout so that they are satisfied and tired when I leave. I generally like to keep my schedule open throughout the week, so if an emergency comes up and a dog needs taking care of, I’m free to jump right in. I train for ultra marathons (preferably 50+ mile races) and so I will have a lot of energy.... and every once in a while, I’ll be out for a week because of post race soreness. My dog is a rescue dog and it’s been a tough year, but he’s a lot more calm now, and I’m glad he’s with me as other possible owners turned him away because of his abundant energy. Every dog deserves a chance to grow, but they also need owners or people in their lives to help guide them, and that’s who I am.
