Pet care experience
I used to volunteer at the RSPCA shelter walking the rescue dogs and in my youth, I would help out a professional dog walker. Eventually I went on to raise and train two cane corsi. I’ve been a full time dog walker and pet sitter since February 2022.

We were so pleased to have Shivani walking our dog J for a few weeks whilst one of his owners was away. She was diligent about giving us clear updates and queried any concerns she had. J was very happy day in day out after his walks with Shivani and she always made sure he was clean and had water for his time alone. If we ever need a dog walker again, Shivani will be at the top of our list!!
Shivani was absolutely fantastic with our cats. She came over for a short initial meeting and we knew right away she'd get along with them just fine. She did everything we asked and was really thorough asking questions about the cats and how she could best care for them. On top of that her daily write-ups of the visits were detailed and the photos she sent made us smile while we were away. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a pet sitter.

I have a regular dog who comes over for 'doggy day care' at my house. He's given my undivided attention during his stay and is walked, played with and loved during his visit. I do have two cats but the cats keep very much to themselves most of the time, unless they want love on their own terms, of course. I send each owner that books with me pictures of their pets from the visits and a detailed description of the fun we had. It’s important for me to know how the dogs I look after interact with people and other dogs and how well they are with walking on a lead to ensure they’re not heavy on pulling.
A typical day
I like to provide the dogs I look after with mental and physical stimulation. When walking dogs, I also mix in obedience training, for example sitting before each road crossing or waiting before walking through any gates. I love taking dogs to a rural area where many other dog walkers go so the can become familiar with other dog scents.
