Rover Shirley is absolutely amazing with dogs and other animals. I have a very nervous five year old Boston Terrier (Burton) who is afraid of lots of things - including most people and other dogs. From the first day he met Shirley he has been crazy about her. When he realizes that we are going to visit her (he knows the turn off to her home), he starts squeaking and jumping around the car with excitement - and is very impatient to get out and on with his stay. Shirley has looked after Burton twice in the past few months - both overnight - while I have accompanied visiting family members to non-dog friendly venues and events. She takes him on fun walks and to a nearby dog park. She also works on his leash skills and gets him to stop pulling. Shirley’s home is very dog-friendly and safe. She has a lovely big fenced yard with birds, squirrels and neighbours’ cats to entertain dogs. There is also space to park when dropping off / collecting - which makes it all easier.
