I have always have a special place in my heart for dogs! I was a pet sitter for 10+ years, but recently took a short break after moving to a different part of the great state of Texas! I’ve also been a foster and greatly enjoyed and will hopefully get back into that soon as well. Now that we are settled, we are ready to welcome your sweet pet into our home and will love and care for them as if they were our very own! We are a no cat household, so sorry!! I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from puppy to seniors! Our dog pretty much has free rein in the house, however, if you have rules that need to be followed, I will be sure to keep their routine for you! We hope to welcome your sweet pet into our home soon so we can love on them for you while you enjoy your travels, and I will be sure to send you LOTS of pictures!

Shirley was fabulous! Very personable and accommodating. She made sure our little Lola was comfortable in her home and with Lukka. He appeared to be playful, yet sweet with Lola. Shirley gave us daily updates and posted lots of pictures and videos, which made us comfortable and happy. I would not hesitate leaving Lola in Shirley’s care again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shirley did an amazing job watching my Lucy Goosey. She sent lots of pics, some videos and lots of updates, it was great. I would re-book with her in a heartbeat!
Shirley was great. My fur baby was in professional hands. From the meet and greet until after the return of my Lola. Shirley was in constant contact sending photos and video. Which made my away time less stressful. Her family was very loving to my dog as they were with there own. I was pretty sure Lola did not want to leave. I have a couple upcoming trips where I can't have my dog with me so I will surely be booking Shirley again. Thank you Shirley for you obvious love for animals.
When Shirley lived in our area, she was our go-to pet sitter. We always trusted her dogs, cat, horses, and waterfowl in her care. She was responsive if we needed to tell her anything while we were gone and she spent a lot of quality time with our animals. She was willing to come stay at our house and didn’t just come and check in for a minute and leave again. She came and stayed and played with our animals. They were always happy and content with her as their sitter. When we got home they were excited to see us but we could always tell they had been well taken care of. I highly recommend her as your next pet sitter!

Please let me know if your dog has any special commands or routines (I know mine is very routine so he gets antsy if we’re even one minute late for his routine!) If there are any specific routines they are accustomed to, I will adhere to that completely.
A typical day
On a typical day we do our morning feeding and potty break with a short playtime before I begin my work day. My office is in the front room so I am able to let the dogs out in the backyard several times daily. I usually go on a short 1 1/2 mile daily walk with the dogs at lunch and in the evening. Dinner is usually around 5:30, but feeding schedule is totally up to you. Then bedtime is anytime between 9 and 11. Of course there will be plenty of breaks during the day for play time!

Availability
Working from home allows me to be present for your pet for most of the day. Most days I am home 24/7. There may be times that I will run an errand or two, but I will never be away for more than 2 hours. I also have cameras in the house that I use to check on them if I am away, even for a short period of time. Your pets' well being is my priority during their entire stay. With a fenced yard, your dog will be able to enjoy outdoor time as often as they like. My dog, Lukka, loves to play and have fun with other dogs. He’s been around puppies and giant dogs alike. He’s a gentle boy and will let your dog be as playful with him as they like. Our main living areas are carpet free, so if there are any accidents, it’s very easy to clean up! As previously mentioned, your pets are welcome to be as free as they like in our home. We have dog beds in just about every room in our home, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Please let me know your pets daily routine, dietary preferences, any medical conditions or medications, their temperament around other animals, and any specific training commands they respond to.
