Pet care experience
I have volunteered in dog shelters + rescues for 4 years and worked in a dog clinic for a couple years under a veterinarian (Dog Adoption and Welfare Group and Carl Zaboly DVM in Santa Barbara, CA), so I am familiar with the behaviors of our bestest friends. I live in an apartment next to Leo J Ryan park and walking distance from Foster City dog park, where my small dog Mocha loves to play with other dogs.
Reviews
Shirley took excellent care of our pup!!! She provided timely updates and photos of their adventures walking and hiking in the Bay Area. Would highly recommend!!!
Shirley was a wonderful host to our Chewie. She stayed in touch with us sending us pictures and plenty of updates. We’re really grateful for her care!
This was the first time we experienced leaving our Mia in someone else's care, and Shirley made the transition very pleasant for all of us. She was very patient with Mia, letting her take her time to warm up and feeling confident under her care. We would definitely use Rover.com service in the near future.
Shirley is amazing! She's flexible and very good with dogs. My dog loves her.

Safety, trust & environment
As a dog parent myself, I understand the worry other dog parents have leaving their precious one in another’s care. Therefore, photos and updates will be sent multiple times a day unless otherwise instructed.
Information Shirley C. would like to know about your pet
-please let me know of any health issues or medication needs prior to boarding. -let me know how much food per day (and how many times) to give your pet and food allergies. -Let me know of any potential triggers on walks, such as children, skateboards, strollers, etc. so I can be aware
A typical day
Because I only have one dog, you can be assured yours will be given all the attention and love they crave. Walks are provided in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with another short potty break right before bed time. Potty breaks are given approximately every 2-4 hours. If your dog can/wants to, I can even run/jog with them (usually 2-3 miles). If the weather permits, we can also go on hikes. Unless requested otherwise, photos/videos of your dog will be sent multiple times a day (around 2-3 in the morning, afternoon, evening each).
Services
Shirley can watch in your home
Availability
For boarding, if your dog is prone to anxiety around people and other dogs, I request that a short meet and greet be done prior. This is to ensure that your dog and I will be a good fit and to familiarize your dog with my presence. I work from home majority of the week, so walks will be given three times a day. If the weather permits, we will also go on hikes!
