I'm Shirley, an active and energetic senior, and I obviously love dogs and had the joy of caring for my wonderful poodle mix, Chumley, for nearly 17 years. He's left a place in my heart that I want to keep open for dogs that need some loving care when they are away from their owners. I spend most evenings watching TV or reading and am happiest with a dog curled up on the couch next to me. I live in a very quiet dog-friendly neighborhood of San Diego -- South Park -- where we can walk at least once a day, usually twice, and if your pooch has no problems running up and down stairs, there's a large fenced yard available for play and exploration.
