I’ve been the primary caretaker for our family pets throughout the years. Our last dog was a rescued toy poodle and I have now fallen in love with small breeds!

I felt very comfortable leaving my pup in Shima’s care. I could see he was well taken care of. He’ll be staying with Shima for a longer visit at the end of May for sure.

shima did a phenomenal job taking care of my pup Kai. She sent videos and pictures during my international vacation and was mindful of the timing and everything. My dog didn’t want to come home he had such a great time and will be using shima in the future for my dog!

Your dog will be loved and cared for during their stay! I only accept one client at a time, so your pup will have our full attention. We are pretty relaxed and do allow pets on some furniture, but are happy to enforce your rules in our home. Although I do not have a fenced yard, there are plenty of trails and neighborhoods for exercise and potty breaks. We ask that you provide a leash, collar/harness, and food. We also encourage you to bring items such as beds, blankets, treats and toys from home.

Dogs must be fully housebroken. I can administer pills but not liquid medication. Please let us know if there are any behaviors we should know about before boarding (chewing furniture, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, etc).
A typical day
Your dog will receive lots of attention during their stay! I will let them out at least 4x a day with 2 full-length walks. Photo and video updates will be sent at least once a day.

I currently do not work, so I have a very flexible schedule and spend lots of time at home. I’m very active and enjoy going on walks in the neighborhood and surrounding parks.
