loving and responsible

Pet care experience

My name is Sheryl Goldberg. My love of animals is what sparked my desire to become a pet sitter. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for some of the most important members of the family: your pets! I grew up in a family of pets: we had dogs, birds, rabbits, gerbils. And now I have a dachshund! I can’t imagine life without the joy and happiness he brings to me and I only hope, through my best efforts, that I am making him as happy as possible. I'm exceptionally caring and responsible. My main goal is for you and your dog to be comfortable and happy. I only watch one dog at a time. They have access to my entire home, including the couch! My mini-dachshund is friendly with other dogs but also mellow and mild mannered. Your dog and mine will be together, so it is important that your dog gets along well with others. I work from home and am able to provide one-on-one stimulation to your pup throughout the day, including lots of pets, belly rubs, games of fetch, walks and puzzles. If wyou’re interested, I can bring your dog on a hike in the park or to the dog park if you leave them with me before 7:30am or pick up after 7:30pm (this is completely optional of course) or if you leave them with me on my day off. I am not only a care giver, but also a client of Rover, so I understand how important it is to receive photos and updates throughout the day about how your dog it doing! know if can be concerning leaving your fur baby with a stranger - I have great references which I am happy to provide to you. I’m also happy to meet/zoom with you prior to the booking day so you can see my space and feel comfortable leaving your dog with me. I don’t crate my dog, but I do have a crate if your dog prefers this. I will not crate your dog unless you ask me to. Your dog will have access to my entire place with the exception of my bedroom. Your dog will not be left alone!

Safety, trust & environment

Foremost, I provide a lot of love to my dog. I get concerned seeing him laying around while I’m working, as I don’t want him to be bored. I do my best to provide stimulation, such as music, puzzles, kongs, etc in efforts to reduce boredom. Before and after work, we have a ton of fun in the dog park and on hikes in local parks.

No breed preferences. Small dogs under 30 lbs only. I would like to know if the dog has any medical conditions, and if there are any triggers which I may want to avoid when engaging him/her.
