More than a pet, they’re family!
Pet care experience
When I was a kid, we had dogs that had a job to do. They herded cattle or gaurded the chickens. As I've gotten older, I've come to realize that a dog can be more than just an animal. It can be a companion, a good listener, a best friend. They each have amazing personalities to offer along with unconditional love. With everything that's going on in the world today, I don't know what I would do without my Opie. I know you feel the same way about your companion. I want to be that person to provide a safe, loving substitute home for your little (or big) one that they can come to, when they can't be with you. I have worked as a veterinary technician and am comfortable administering medication of all types (pills, injections). I have participated in AKC shows with my Afghan Hound, Chase ,and have managed a grooming and boarding facility with daycare until the owner sold out. I am not a trainer but I can certainly continue working on training while you’re gone. I am taking my love for dogs and cats to the next level. I am remodeling my home and setting aside three rooms that will be just for them. Eventually, there will be a separate business entrance, kennels for those that need them, a dedicated play yard and round it off with a groomer, to be a full service facility of my own. I’m comfortable interacting with dogs of all breeds and sizes and handling them safely. Your dog will not be kenneled at my home and will enjoy playing with my Aussie all day in a large fenced, grass yard. I believe in interactive daycare so there will be plenty of fetch and tug o war. Fresh water is available indoors and out at all times. A built in doggy door allows your pet to go where they are most comfortable. When it’s hot, everyone comes inside to sit under the cooler and enjoy a frozen treat. When it’s cold, we’ll get a comfy blanket and snuggle around the fireplace. I never have more than three dogs staying with me at any given time unless they are all from the same family. Your best friend will be treated with the love and respect it deserves because they are definitely family in my home. I am available 24/7 and do mot have another job. I am always home so I can spend quality time with your four legged family members. I have three deprecate fenced yards and use a double gate system for your pets safety. If they get thru one gate, they’re just in another yard. In the main play yard, there is wire hurried along the fence in case one tries to tunnel out. I do allow digging so they can satisfy some forgotten instinct. When it’s hot, I provide a pool for them to cool down. There are mature shade trees all around the property to provide shade. They will have access to be indoors or outdoor as they choose. Fresh water will be supplied in both places I do bring them inside at night due to the local coyote pack traveling past on occasion. They are welcome to get on the furniture and on occasion, sleep with me on my bed. Like I said, they are family.

Sherry is very good. For my pup, it's like a second home. Sherry is very good about keeping me up to date on what been happening during Trey's stay, to include pictures. She is my go to puppy sitter.
I booked Sherry for three days. She was to arrive between 12 and 1 PM on Wednesday, she was to spend the night at my house Wednesday and Thursday, and feed Aspen breakfast on Friday. Unfortunately, this relationship started very rocky on Wednesday and Sherry failed to show up until after 3:30 PM and there was absolutely zero communication from her until that point. Sadly, as explained previously, Aspen my dog, had surgery two weeks prior and when we left at 8:15 in the morning she had not eaten breakfast nor would she take her pain medicine. I communicated this to Sherry via text at 8:15 in the morning and never heard back from her. I called twice, emailed, and texted multiple times. My house has sensors so I can tell when somebody has been to the property, and she did not arrive until after 3:30 PM my dog was left in the bedroom all day without any access to go to the bathroom. This was incredibly stressful to me it was not at all what we had agreed upon. Sherry stated that she forgot she had an appointment and was unable to communicate with me. She said she did not remember the appointment until Tuesday at midnight. She could’ve easily have communicated this to us anytime on Wednesday and failed to do so. When Sherry did ride to the house she took good care of my dog and I am very appreciative of that. This was so stressful that we were trying to decide if we should return home immediately . We are four hours away. Sherry did a very good job communicating and taking care of Aspen Thursday and Friday. I wish that Wednesday had never occurred. I cannot in good faith recommend her due to her lack of communication, failure to show up at agreed-upon time, and the fact that I believe my dog suffered on Wednesday.
Sherry is wonderful, clearly knows dogs, and is extremely responsive. Would trust her with my pup any time.
Sherry was a great pick to drop our little old man off to while we biked for a few hours! Would use her again ina heartbeat

I have three fenced yards. Two of these yards have direct indoor access. Everybody is allowed to go in or out as they please. Fresh water is available at all times. I try to keep them on their regular schedule for bed time and meals so that they are more comfortable.

Information Sherry W. would like to know about your pet
Have they been vaccinated? Have they been socialized with other dogs? Do they try to run outside and escape? The state requires at minimum to have a rabies vaccine. I recommend a bordetella (kennel cough) as well as the regular five in one (distemper, parvo, etc.) so that your dog stays healthy. All breeds welcome.
A typical day
Chasing tennis balls is an everyday occurrence and I have a line setup with assorted ropes for tugging. A freshly filled kiddie pool is always available for cooling down. I have three different yards to use if someone needs a time out. I have a “double gated system”, meaning if somebody sneaks by me and gets out of the yard, they’re just in another yard. I’ve learned a lot of do’s and don’ts concerning pet safety.

Availability
I don't have any other job besides looking after your best friend. I'm home most all the time so it works out that I'm usually available in short notice.
