Pet care experience

$20 promo to deduct when you pay if you are booking with me for the 1st time, look in my photo gallery to find my promo code🤗 I specialize in small dogs in my home, however, I can care for a larger dog but in my home I keep the sizes on the smaller side so that no pup is intimidated or feels threatened by a larger dog. I do not put any dog in danger & work hard to see that each individual pup is safe, feels secure & well cared for in a nurturing environment that is close to their home life. I can care for your pup & have the flexibility to do multiple drop-in visits &/or dog walking visits, board your pup overnight, and stay in your home overnight if that works better for you & your pups. My husband & I work this together…we were both available 24/7. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child, through my working years & into my early retirement. I have adopted many animals and seeing them through to the end of their life. I have cared for small to large dogs up to about 100 pounds. My fully understand their needs and wants. I love every animal I care for, I love getting to know each one, LOVE their little eyes/individual personalities, their quirks & I 100% care for each one as if they are mine & follow instructions provided by the owners:do’s & don’ts so they are receiving the consistency of their home @ my home. I have a 10# Papillon that is 2.5 yrs old that greets everyone with his very consistent ”dance” ceremony that is an absolute stitch!!!..he adjust to every animal as I do: he plays with them, shows them how to use the doggie door, gives them all his high energy attention & shows them every ounce of love / play he possesses! 🤗 Last note: I do not care for boxers, Pittbulls, Rottweiler’s or any dog that is aggressive , regardless of size in my home or in someone else’s home. I know some breeds get a really bad rap but I want put myself in a situation that I (we) feel threatened in. I have to look out for my (our) safety 1st so, I’m whole to care for all the other animals I keep or visit.

Sherry was great! Our chichwawa is not the friendliest but Sherry got our dog Sophie to warm up to her which is not easy. Sherry went above and beyond to help us with Sophie and her individual diet and meds needs. Will definitely use her again! A++++

Flea treatment prevention before coming in the warm months (& a bath is greatly appreciated) or I can bath & administer the flea protection if that would help you in the chaos of preparing for your vacation /time away. We do offer to provide round trip transportation. These services are offered at a reasonable fee to cover time/expenses. I would like to know any meds, special needs, special diets & likes, dislikes or anything that’s pertinent to me caring for baby. I need the the vets information, need an up to date vaccination record. Emergency phone numbers in your absence. Feel free to bring his favorite toy(s) & cuddle bed if you don’t want to use mine.m, however, I have pet beds, little blankets, leashes, food/water bowls & fetch toys. I had my Chow for 13.5 yrs & the last 1.5 yrs I nursed him thru his terminal cancer until his demise. I had a Pom for 18 yrs that in his last 6-8 yrs he developed many health problems: he had a slipped disk, arthritis, heart failure, deaf, nearly blind, some dementia, only 3 teeth & a genetic (chronic) pancreatitis. I (we) provided him a loving, safe life with the greatest quality of life; anticipating his needs, puréed nutritional foods, oral meds, exercise, rest & comfort..just seeing him happy & looking at me with a smile was so worth all the care I/we provided. I/we have pure love for furry friends, provide a loving home environment for your baby. I /we wash/sanitize each baby’s bed/pad if soiled before you pick your baby up. A small readonable fee I’ll bath/groom your baby by your pick up time! I’ve up adopted many animals over the years & have never regretted a moment!

A typical day

We live in a nice, low profile non busy residential area with very few cars. We play catch & retrieve in the yard, as well as in the house, when the weather doesn’t allow us to play outdoors. We go on long walks in the neighborhood & sometimes down to the lake…it’s about 3 blocks away. Please note: if it’s raining or the temperature/heat index is dangerously high then the walk will be omitted due to small dogs are @ a high risk of heat exhaustion…with the doggie door the pups are in/out all day and are able to potty & get more than enough exercising while they are outside playing, we get out there to & play fetch?

I wake up early, have a cup of Java & like to start the day with a refreshing early walk by the lake, if possible, to get the pets & myself energized early then they get a treat for being good! I get the pups fed & watered then let them rest for a bit to process their food. We go outside & play fetch with the animals then watch them as they play, run & tease each other! I’ll sit in the chair outside with some refreshing sparkling water while they are playing or I’ll do some gardening…everyone that comes here keeps me very entertained ! I (we) are total animal lovers & enjoy being with them, watching them play, really enjoy learning their very different personalities & little quirks they have. When the pups look like they maybe getting bored then I’ll get a squeaky toy to get the party started again…most of the times it works!🤗 I have a doggy door which allows the babies to run in & out at their own will during the day. We take an evening stroll then come home to eat dinner, unwind & prepare for bedtime. They are separated when eating or when they get treats just to avoid any potential issues. The pups sleep in the doggie room or the living room, sometimes in my bedroom on their dog beds or the couch… I have to admit I have woke up with one curled up next to me in the bed😝..whatever their choice is unless you would rather I don’t let your pup on the couch then I/we will follow your request. If you have a preference for me to crate your pup then I follow that routine to keep the pups consistent but only crate when you ask. I feed the the animals on a feeding schedule of twice a day unless you specify otherwise. I have dedicated areas for the doggies to eat in peace & separately to avoid any potential problems. I keep water in 3 different places in the house, as well as, fresh water in 2 different areas outside. Once they’ve eaten, taken their potty break & their ready for bed then I close the doggie door & lights are out around 9-10ish pm. By the time bedtime hits they are usually ready to crash because they really play hard most of the day👍🏼.I have 2 gates to the back and side yard where the pups run & play…both gates are kept closed with keyed locks on them. My entire fence is in excellent shape & without any loose board or any areas that a pup could get loose..this monitored on a daily basis. I have an automated street light over my back driveway that lights up a portion of the yard. I also, have solar light around the entire fence that are on @ night & off during the day, as well as, bright leds that will light up when approached. This is for security & so they can see well when they go out to potty after dark. I’m in an early retirement, home the majority of the day. I have 35 yrs of experience with all sizes of dogs & cats. I spent 35 yr as a RN caring for people & my husband is home as well, he is a retired Pharmacist. I/we have so much love, tenderness & happiness for ANY animal no matter the species. I have a nice home that is always clean & does not have that “animal” odor…I'm as meticulous & thorough with the cleaning/care of my home as I am with the care & upkeep of all Gods creatures: our home is smoke free, no children, locked 8’ board on board fenced in 3/4 of the .25 acre property, have a dedicated sunroom for Pet setting with a couch/bed, pet beds, doggie door, water bowls, play toys & a TV. I have dedicated areas for each pupper to sleep in peace & without any disturbances. The babies I host have the freedom to roam my home (except kitchen/eating area & have little gates to prevent access), they may get on the furniture (if the owners permit it), crash on a pad if tired, use the doggie door & random will in and out as much as they please. They are allowed to just to run/ play whenever & wherever they please. You don’t have to worry about packing a bunch of stuff up for your baby…I have all the doggie beds/ pads, water/food bowls, lots of toys, leashes, little doggie throws for the pups to use. All you need to worry about would be their food & snacks if you have something special they favor. Between my hubby & I, we are here 24/7 about 95% of the time, it’s very rare we are out & the same time. We live in a very shady area with huge trees so, when we are on the concrete their little feet don’t get hot from a hot concrete. I send updates with pics while in my care. I have to admit that have had 3 different companies for the Wi-Fi & I can’t always get a pic sent on the first try…sometimes I have to send 1 pic @ a time but I get it done.🤗🌺🌺
