Hi there! My name is Sherry and I am retired, and unfortunately, my beloved Labrador Liberty passed away. Therefore, I am available to take care of your doggie's walking, and drop in needs. After some time away, my schedule has recently opened up with some availability in the next upcoming months. Feel free to outreach me to discuss. I have had many Labradors over the course of my life. I have experience with puppies all the way through to the “sugar face” senior years. I am that person who when I see a dog I ask the owner if I can pet him/her. I am an avid walker and will help with your dog getting in their much needed exercise. Please be aware I am unable to work with aggressive doggies.

Sherry was exactly what we needed in a walker. During our meet and greet, she gathered as much information as possible and asked all the right questions, not only about our dog, but also about our preferences as an owner. She wasn't familiar with our breed and already researched their temperament beforehand. She even carries a bell to scare away the many deer in our neighborhood. It's this mindset that makes a difference. She adheres to teaching our dog all the good habits we would try to instill in him. Her experience with dogs shine through as she is firm when discipline is needed, but also loving. She has been helping us to work on his pulling. Our dog can hardly contain his excitement when she comes by. Above all, Sherry is respectful and a delight to work with; I highly recommend her.
Sherry is like a second parent to our puppies. When our pups were neutered and we needed someone in a pinch to drop by while we were out, we didn't hesitate to ask Sherry. She followed up with us via text and phone to make sure she had all the instructions since they were still recovering from surgery. She gave a lot of good advice, showing her experience with dogs. We knew the puppies were in good hands while we were away. Sherry provided us the peace of mind we needed.
Sherry takes great care of our dog Mauldin. Before walking him she asked if he had any triggers that may occur during walks which I really appreciated. You can tell she’s a true animal lover and Mauldin loves her too!
Sherry has walked and taken care of Tessa on many occasions. She is easy to work with, flexible and always sending adorable pictures during their time together. I always know Tessa is in good hands with Sherry and would highly recommend.

I understand the stages of zoomies, and pulling as a puppy/adolescent all the way through the beautiful “sugar face” senior walking so slow it feels like we are walking backwards.

I will need to be aware of how far they can walk and any triggers that may upset them along the way that I should be aware of and if there is any particular area(s) to avoid. Do they walk calmly or do they pull and if so what will cause for them to pull so I can be prepared when I see the trigger. For example, my Liberty would pull really hard when someone on a bicycle or a skateboard would move towards us. I knew to have her sit and distract her until they passed. Please let me know any special care or instructions you need for me to follow while your fur baby is in my care and I will be happy to accommodate your request(s).
A typical day
I am an avid walker and enjoy taking walks. I will make adjustments according to meet each dog’s specific needs. I will be happy to walk your dog wherever you take them in your neighborhood that they enjoy. I am also happy to feed them, let them out to take care of their business, or just pet them so they do not feel lonely. It all will depend on what you are requiring of me during my drop in.

As mentioned, I am retired and available Monday through Friday to help while you are at work or just unavailable. I have some weekends open, we would just have to discuss what specific days and times you are looking for.
