Animals crack me up and make my soul smile. I have made sure to always have animals in my adult life after feeling their absence during college. First I got a cat, then a horse, then a weekend job taking care of horses at various horse farms for like 16 years. During that time, I also started taking care of other people's cats and dogs, which has now been for over 20 years, whenever needed, on top of my full-time jobs. (I was a high school teacher for 18 years, massage therapist for a few years after that, and now I am a canine physical therapy aide.) The German Shepherd in my profile is my dog, Levi, who I've had for almost 12 years, since he was a puppy. He has taught me innumerable lessons about dogs, myself, behavior, forgiveness, and life in general. Some people are leery of him because of stereotypes of his breed, until they meet him and realize he is one of the friendliest German Shepherds you could ever meet. He's a scary-sounding guard dog when people walk past my house however! I love making new furry friends! Pets tend to warm up to me quickly. A meet-and-greet with new clients is a great way to see if we are a good fit. I provide dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs and/or cats right now, and am happy to customize the rate according to your pet population. Your dog will enjoy our walks, whether it's brisk exercise he/she needs, or a slow stroll to sniff everything. I am very mindful toward providing whatever you and your pet want and need.
