FURR-BABY HAVEN- B&B/Daycare

Pet care experience

WELCOME TO FURR BABIE'S HAVEN! We are dedicated to ensuring your dog(s) a safe, happy stay. O This is My PARAMOUNT OBJECTIVE... Your Pet(s) will receive our full attention, be loved, walked, & played with as part of my "extended Family" of furr babies! Personal Home Services include but are not limited to: *HERE all Animals are PERSONALLY cared for and supervised in a communal setting with full use of furniture & all pet oriented amenities. * Doggy steps indoors and out for the timid and senior dogs to use. *Each and every dog receives One on One attention multiple times each day with no dog overlooked. * Photos and update/progress messages will be sent via the official Rover App. or text/email unless requested otherwise. *Appropriate reinforcement training and correction, if needed, is incorporated into all interactions. *Daily dog walks are arranged if desired at the time of booking. I will provide leashes for scheduled guests walks. Owners are expected to provide PROOF of SHOT RECORDS, etc., appropriate sized HALTERS if their dog is to participate on walks. *sanitary individual Food Bowls and shared sanitary, filtered water stations provided for all on the premises. *Meals are fully monitored with feeding 2x day. I do not free feed. *There will be no crating or confinement unless it is arranged at request of the owner Note: an exception to this policy would be ONLY short term... should an an UNFORSEEN emergency necessitate use of a crate or dog pen to safeguard one or more dogs...ie. a puppy. I make every effort to avoid this contingency. *All LONG TERM Boarders over 7 days-will be freshly bathed & blow dried, prior to arranged pickup schedule. (unless otherwise directed.) I DO NOT provide more than basic bathing to make sure their fur is free of dirt, weeds so our Guest returns home in the same condition of cleanliness as when they were brought in for boarding. I also am available for 30 min. DROP-IN CARE for cats or dogs in your home including walks and play, poop pickup/cat box, replenish water bowls and feeding if desired and arranged at time of booking. Short notice is allowed if unforseen travel or appt. delays occur... even if delayed at work for OT, etc. We are always willing to step in and help when needed to get your pets. prompt emergency care on short notice if possible. Drop-in Care may be scheduled in advance once or multiple times in a day within a 5 mile radius. *NOTE: Pick up and drop off services from your home, vet, or grooming appointments are offered only as contracted at time of booking at a charge of $20. *NOTE: I offer more EXTENSIVE TRAINING Services, other than supportive correction while in my care, by special arrangement as well. *Puppy fees are set higher with the expectation that basic, age related reinforcement training be included during their Stay, as well as, to cover the additional care and cleaning involved due to their tender learning development. I live in a relatively small, single level, air conditioned Patio Home. It has an "in wall" dog door leading to a huge covered 15x25 ft patio with ocillating floor fans. The patio is protected from both Sun and elements by custom umbrella secured curtains and opens out to a 5' block walled yard. The yard is 30 feet long and has artificial turf cooled by automatic misting sprinklers. The lawn is flanked by paver surfaces which support cushioned, raised cots and stepped benches so dogs can bask in the sun or shade. A seperate toy box is provided inside and out brimming with clean toys of every variety. *Total Property is kept clean. & picked up at least 2x day. *The House and Yard plants are PET SAFE. *Beds, toys, and throws are kept clean during and after scheduled stays and floors fully. steam cleaned often. All my charges are leash/halter walked as arranged with owner at time of booking. They go out (when weather allows) safetly 1 or 2 at a time, I personally participate on each walk. My home is just 2 blocks away from Silvergate Park... there are no busy traffic areas and the dogs love the wide open grass arena in the center. If pavement is too hot for even me to walk barefoot, the dogs will remain inside with energetic play in my yard.. In Summer (upon your approval),. I may drive the dogs by car to the park so cooler morning walks can take place on the park grass. *I prefer ALL training progress and walks be rewarded with verbal and physical praise, even petting rather than edible treats. However, I do carry water and grain free training treat filled pouch to use as unplanned rewards. I personally have 4 friendly/playful Hospice dogs ages 7-19 all 4#-12#. All my dogs are accustomed to having new animals introduced for day/boarding long and short term. *I offer full or half day play dates. *Water is from a 1 1/2 gal. automatic, continuously filtered water dispenser filters and water changed frequently. Scrubbed clean daily. * This is a dog friendly tile floored home with regularly clean dog beds and blankets enough for all to settle in if they do not choose the sofa, bed, my lap or empty recliners. *I do have open crates with clean bedding should a pet desire a quiet space to watch. or escape the others while adapting to my home. Some dogs just need a place to nap undisturbed. *I offer Nitetime crating for owners who prefer their pets not sleep in a bed. *I do offer gradual CRATE TRAINING If requested and arranged for in advance. I provide a plephora of dog beds and blankets to burrow under in the main room and my bedroom. More are outside so they can nap surrounded by chirping peach face doves and ferel parakeets and cockatoo. If you choose to bring your owncrates, bedding, or toys I cannot be responsible for any damage caused by your or other dogs during the stay. *All dogs are allowed supervised use of the Dog door and yard. *They have access to every room but my tiny office/ guest room and furniture is not off limits, even my bed.

Sherry did a great job with George, introduced him to some new friends and had a great space for the dogs. Also good communicator.

Sherrie’s home is a haven for dogs. I felt very confident leaving my pup. Sadly, I think my dog was over stimulated with so many dogs. She was ok when I picked her up but have found her appetite changed. This is a great home for pups that are used to having lots of other dogs around. Definitely do a meet and greet first.

I could tell that Jazz was very well taken care of, and that Sherrie opens up her entire home to the animals under her care. Highly recommend. She kept Jazz for an entire week, and was great about updating me.

Information Sherrie N. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed specific preferences. I do, however only board and provide day care for small to med size dogs. I require they be current on shots. I prefer spay/neuter, but will. consider all applicants on a case by case situation since unaltered pets pose a higher care/safety level even in a walled yard. I would like to arrange a meet and greet to assess each pet to determine temperament, training, and any special needs ahead of time. This also gives owners and dogs an opportunity to do the same here. This can be done by my coming to you if preferred. I will NEVER place a dog at risk by taking in another without careful assessment and agreement in advance with each owner. I NEVER OVERBOOK!

A typical day

I have had 20 years experience with working K-9 police and service dogs. Recent accident in 2011 necessitated my working primarily with smaller breads. I have fostered with. UT Valley Animal Rescue, UT Lost & Found Pets, and Cavalier Crazy Rescue in SLC, UT. I have lived in my Mesa patio home since Dec. 2016 and since then have been active with P.A.T.C.H.E.S., Paw Town Rescue, and with AZ Cavalier Rescue. L I am committed to offering every pet the best, stress free pet-cation and half or full day play dates you can hope for with pick up and delivery options upon prior arrangement.
