I’ll become your pet’s new bestie!
Pet care experience
I have been around dogs all my life and absolutely love them! I grew up with Rough Collies and Shelties. I love the outdoors also! I have owned Rough Collies and Shelties once a had my own home. I wanted to combine both my favorite things, the outdoors and dogs and I’ve decided to become a dog walker. I’ve changed careers and started dog walking and pet care in 2018. I greet every dog or cat with personal attention and lots of love. Belly rubs and back scratches included. I look forward to each and every pet I see each day. When I am at a client’s home, I care for the home as if it were my own. Many clients tell me that their dog “knows” I’m on my way and anxiously wait by the door for me. One client who recently lost their senior dog had told me that Cali thought the world of me and thanked me for taking such good and loving care of her. My responsibilities have been but not limited to: 30 minute or one hour dog walks, giving oral medications if needed, puppy care visits, clean up messes, empty, clean and refill water bowls, disposing of dog waste in proper location upon client’s request, add photos that I took during my visit and feedings or giving treats. I am also, a member of Pet Sitters Associates and insured/bonded. I also love and build great relationships with the dog or cat’s humans, Communication is very important to me and vital to your fur-baby’s care. Therefore I add all information after each appointment such as: lots of photos, and details of my visit/walk, anything I see or notice that is out of the ordinary, any unusual behaviors of the pet, if the pet seems unwell, and any incidents that happened. Please note * I only walk or visit friendly dogs.(that are non aggressive with new people) Cats don’t necessarily have to be friendly. It’s perfectly fine for them to hide as long as they don’t bite or attack. As for dogs they must be somewhat trained or in training.
Reviews
Sheri was wonderful. She took care of our dog for the day and somehow the cats escaped from the basement and Sheri took the time to care for them and give a treat.
It has been great to work with Sheri. She was able to work with our crazy schedule and we were Very comfortable leaving her with our animals and our house! Will use again!
Sheri is kind, patient and loving. On the day of our meet and greet, she took her time and was very thorough with getting to know my dog. My dog immediately bonded with her. We are regular customers for daily walks and I have also used Sheri for boarding. Sheri gives very detailed report cards and takes lots of pictures. When my dog stayed over with Sheri, I had peace of mind during my vacation because she sent me so many pictures and updates to assure me that he was doing well and having a good time. Sheri has a great energy about her and she understands dogs very well. My dog loves her and I can tell she loves him too. I definitely recommend Sheri if you are looking for a reliable, responsible, and caring petsitter/dog walker.
Sheri left detailed information on how each visit went and sent lots of pictures. I felt very comfortable with her and am happy with how she took care of my cat and the extra care she took in my home. Thank you Sheri!

When I am at a client’s home, I care for the home as if it were my own. I clean any messes, follow all instructions given for pet care, and alway use communication with pet parents if there any concerns or questions. I use my training in pet first aid if needed for any emergencies and also call the pet parent, and Rover for following safety protocols. My main concern is the pets safety and me caring for them during my visits.
Information Sheri D. would like to know about your pet
Are you available for a meet and greet before services begin? Is your dog food aggressive? Toy aggressive? Does your dog have any fears or become fear aggressive? If yes, due to past experiences, I no longer handle, feed, walk or even let out back any dog that shows any kind of aggression over toys, food or you. Also I will not walk a dog who shows their teeth or bites while being collared or harnessed. Does your dog pull on the leash while being walked? If your dog is large, and is a very strong puller I can not accept. Is your dog kept in a crate? If so does your dog growl or show teeth if someone opens or approaches the crate? Is your dog anxious? If so that's okay as long as he/she warms up and doesn't bite strangers. Is your dog timid/shy/skittish? If so that's perfectly fine! What commands does your dog respond to? I don’t have any breed preferences however I ONLY handle dogs that are WELL behaved.
A typical day
I love to visit my furry friends who are home all day and would enjoy some love, play time, and exercise. It brings a smile to my face when I see them looking out the window for me to arrive. I love to walk around the neighborhood or even a nearby park if pets are permitted. I also look forward to my cat visits while their family is out or away.
