Pet care experience
I've had pets for 30 years. I pet sit for friends and neighbors. Cared for senior pets. Proficient at medications and special diets. My current two cats are older cats adoptions. One was a rescue from a home that had more than 100 cats. This experience left him with some residual fears and behaviors. Having older cats has meant having experience in both administering medications and preparing specialized diets. I volunteered at an animal rescue facility where I became familiar with walking dogs and watching the progress they made to get adopted. I am willing to care for well-behaved dogs.

Availability
I am retired from working in the Human Services field for over 30 years. My schedule is open so providing care during the day or multiple visits in one day are possible. I remember the feeling of having to go to work when my pets did not feel well, so to be able to provide some relief to someone by being there and checking on their well loved pets would be rewarding. I have used pet sitters in the past when I had gone on vacations instead of boarding them due to one cats’ car riding anxiety. I understand that even good pet parents need a break, or that sometimes things happen that disrupt a pet’s routine.
