I have been a Pet Sitter for 2 years. I LOVE what I do and I LOVE animals. The benefits of having a Pet Sitter, outweigh "boarding" your loving pet. I have experienced what boarding can do to a pet personally. Not good. I have cared for Dogs, Cats, Ferrets, Fish, Birds, Horses and Sugar Gliders. Benefits of Pet Sitting are: *Staying at home in his/her safe, secure environment *Being surrounded by familiar sights, smells and sounds *Following his/her regular diet and exercise routine *Having play time *Receiving love and personal attention *Maintaining medical treatment, when required *Having someone responsible in case of an emergency *Eliminating the trauma of travel or an unfamiliar environment *Helping to ensure good health (no exposure to other animals' illness or parasites) And "Pet Parents" will have "Peace of Mind While They're Away", knowing their pet is safe and sound in his/her own home, being lovingly cared for.

Shelly is a wonderful pet sitter! Shelly took care of my mini zoo several times. My two Yorkies loved her! I felt very safe with her taking care of them. I had 15 sugar gliders at the time and she was wonderful with them. My Green Cheek Conuer loved her as well. She gave her her daily bath and all the attention that she loves. I would recamend Shelly any day! We loved her dearly!

Before I accept a Pet Sitting job, I always set up a "meet and greet". I like to get to know the Pet Parents and observe how the "Fur-baby" interacts with me. Asking lots of questions: Does the dog potty in his/her own yard or does he/she have to go for a walk for potty time? How often does dog go for walks? How old is the pet? Are treats given and if so, what kind of treats and how often? How often is the pet fed, or is he/she a "free feeder". I prefer not to care for Pit Bulls or very large dogs.
A typical day
I have been a Full-Time Pet Sitter for two years and absolutely LOVE my job. I have cared for Dogs, Cats, Ferrets, Fish, Birds and Sugar Gliders. Not only will I walk your Fur-Baby, for 20-30 minutes, around familiar areas, he/she will also have lots of play time and be rewarded with treats and lots of loving.
