I have been a stay at home, homeschool Mom and am a recent empty nester. I am looking for a few sweet dogs for daycare to keep me company as I garden, cook, read and meditate. I am home most of the time and have a flexible schedule.

I have a large fenced in yard backed by woods. My dog loves to have the ball thrown. We often go to Larson Park. Free range, allowed on furniture, daily exercise- walks or running in the yard with ball throwing. Holistic minded- no air fresheners, perfumes, scented candles, cleaners or bio toxicants that may cause harm to our precious animal friends. Hoping to find like-minded folks who also prefer unscented and/or natural products for their homes and pets. My home is also low EMFs! :) I can crate as needed but prefer free roaming.

A typical day
Throwing the ball, watching the birds and sunning in our wooded backyard is our favorite thing to do. A walk down to Larson Park while exploring the smells of the neighborhood is another favorite activity.

I am an animal lover! I grew up with dogs and have had dogs most of my adult life, and I love them! I have had an Old English Sheep Dog, Poodle, Collie, Golden Retriever, Field Retriever and a few mutts. I am a new empty nester looking for daily companions to keep me company as I take walks, garden, cook, read and meditate. I have an 8 yr. old female Golden Field Retriever who is friendly and playful. I am looking for a few dogs for daycare and a few to walk each day. My husband Ed owned Huffman Painting and we have lived in Glendale for 25 years. I have a large fenced in yard and Larson Park is about a 15-minute walk from my home and is our favorite hangout. My son Emanuel travels a lot but will be home part time helping out.

Shelly was a compassionate caregiver for Maverick. She communicated in writing, pictures and videos of Maverick, where we could see what a good time he was having at Shelley’s house. We could enjoy our trip, trusting and knowing Kelley was the perfect caregiver. Her large and fenced backyard, gave Maverick room to run and play!

Once again, Shelly did an awesome job taking care of Sophie! She sent lots of pictures and videos so I knew Sophie was having a good time. She even hung out with some other dogs.
Shelly was such a great choice for our golden retriever Baker. He needed extra love and attention after a recent surgery and we felt reassured his stay here would be a good fit after meeting with Shelly. She communicated throughout Bakers stay and put our minds at ease that he was being well taken care of. We’ll definitely consider Shelly for future boarding needs.
