Pet care experience
I understand how difficult it is for a dog and its owner to be apart, so my goal is to make your pup as happy as possible while you're apart. I concentrate on making your pet feel safe, secure and loved while you have to be away. I've had dogs all my life and am comfortable as pack leader and have experience with all types of personalities. I'd love to care for your furry friend! We can go for walks in the park, catch frisbees, and sit in the sun and have some doggie ice cream. Life should be fun and full of bark-happy days! Extra tail-wagging is a must, and extra love and attention also since mom or dad is away for a while.

We have had Shelly pet-sit for our dog Oscar many times over the last few years. Oscar is always so excited to see Shelly! We can go on trips without worrying if Oscar is sad or depressed without us because we know that Shelly takes care of him like he was one of her own pets! You can rest assured knowing that your dog will have the best care ever while you're gone!
Our dogs love Shelley! And we have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands in her care. We jokingly call her the dachshund whisperer...but it's no joke! She is amazing with our two dachshunds.
I have known Shelly for about 20 years. She has a great love for animals. She will take care of your pets as if they were her own.
Shelly was our rescue dachshund's previous foster mother and is the most trustworthy person with all dogs. She has been helping find homes for and fostering rescues and volunteering with the CTDR organization for a long time. Shelly kindly looked after our dachshund on multiple occasions when we were on vacation and we could rest assure that our lil pup was in the best hands possible. She has great natural instincts for dogs and is calm and in control of even the most fearful unsocialized dogs. She is very patient and loving and is a great caretaker of these sweeties. She helps them build good confidence and their safety is her priority. Your pup will be in the best possible hands. I highly recommend her.

Aggression issues, allergies, medications, health issues, separation anxiety problems, special diet, senior needs, crating issues if needing to transport for whatever reason. Unfortunately my condo HOA won't allow pit bulls so I must decline to host them.
A typical day
We go for walks at Veteran's Memorial Park. We can play frisbee and fetch to their heart's content! My dog Bear loves to play gently with anybody she meets!
