As the calendar may not always show our actual availability, please contact me about the dates you're interested in. My husband and I have a lifetime of experience as dog owners and dog lovers. I work from home and my husband is retired so your pets spend very little time alone. Our home is in the Highland's area of Edmonton and we have a large, dog-safe, fenced yard. We use no toxic products (i.e. herbicides, harsh chemicals) on our yard or in our house. Your dog(s) will be welcomed and made part of the family while with us, and will have the run of our home and yard, as well as lots of love and attention. The Highlands area is great for dog walking and we are a short distance from several off-leash areas, should that be suitable for your dog. We have two dogs of our own, a Rough Collie cross (Josie) and a Mastiff/boxer cross (Brindy). We also previously provided foster care for several dogs with the SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue) organization here in Alberta. We want to give every dog that stays with us lots of individual attention. For that reason, we normally take only one to three doggie guests at any given time. We are open to multiple dogs from the same household. We have no breed restrictions, however we ask that your dog(s) be sociable and friendly with other dogs and house-trained. If your dog is over 1 yr. old, we prefer that they be spayed or neutered, but will consider intact dogs. We will accommodate dogs with special needs (i.e. medications, special diet etc.) if we are able to do so. There will be an extra charge for very young dogs, and possibly for dogs requiring special care, depending on what is needed. We are able to offer In-Your-Home care visits for your pets if you live in our immediate area (Highlands/Beverly). Please contact me if you'd like to discuss this. We are happy to provide occasional daycare for our new and repeat clients. Other services such as pick-up/drop-off, Vet visits etc. can be arranged on occasion if needed. We prefer a Meet and Greet before any bookings to make sure everyone is a good fit.
