Pet care experience
I was lucky enough to be allowed my own pets starting at a young age, as well as actively taking care of several family dogs, and having my own. I also frequently pet sit my friends and parents dogs, and consistently house sit and take care of two senior cats, one of whom has several medical conditions.

Shelley has been very flexible and understanding about my changing schedule due! And she has been amazing with my deaf, reactive dog.
Shelley has been walking my deaf, reactive dog and has been great. She is very knowledgeable and comfortable with dogs, and my dog loves his walks with her!
Shelley is very personable and conscientious. Even my standoffish dog loved her. I have three dogs. The oldest is blind and has lots of medical problems and she took excellent care of him. She also had to deal with some of the worst winter weather imaginable and she handled it well. My neighbors were even impressed with her.

If daytime exscurions away from your home are needed, I’m happy to take pets to my home, though I don’t have a fenced yard, so we’d be hanging inside . I'm an athletic human, and so walks of any length (or even runs!) are a joy to go on. I am also happy to bundle a drop-in visit and walk!

If your dog has any leash aggression, resource guarding, or other behaviors that impact their behavior around other animals I appreciate knowing that beforehand! I'm happy to accommodate and take care of them, we'll just adjust our adventure as needed!
A typical day
Depending on where you live, walking the neighborhood is always a fun outing. I love Lincoln Park, Coulon, and Seward Park, and those are my usual go to spots. But I’m always open to new areas and exploring neighborhoods, so if your pet is comfortable in their ‘hood I’m happy to walk them there.

Due to my other work schedule, I’m limited in availability to drop in visits/walks, and short overnight stays. However I’m always happy to discuss a longer visit, with enough notice I’m able to accommodate those.
