New best friend to every pup & kit!
Pet care experience
I'm a little obsessed and totally in love with my two dogs Maddie & Fiddle- there's nothing I enjoy more than spending time and going on adventures with them. I've always had dogs as part of my family, and other peoples' dogs are my favorite new friends to make- I love love love meeting & playing & bonding with new pups (and cats!). I've had plenty of experience over the years with all types of dogs- seniors, high-energy dogs, bully breeds, training puppies, etc., and always did pet-sitting for the neighbors when I was growing up and volunteered walking dogs for the city kennels where I lived over the years. I believe dogs need allllll the playtime & potty breaks and walks & pets, and I'd love to be the person to provide that for your baby. I've also become a cat person as well over the past 8 years :) After first one then 2 helpless cats followed us home and asked to live with us-how could we turn them down? We now have 2 senior kitty brothers that like lots of attention & playtime. Now that I feel comfortable and have experience with cats I feel confident doing drop-ins to take care of cats too! Recently I spent 6 years of my life running a small farm with my husband and caring for all sorts of animals- cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc., and I've had lizards, frogs, snakes, fish, a tarantula and a hedgehog as pets in the past, so I'm very comfortable around all sorts of animals and would love to meet yours!
Reviews
Shelley is the absolute best. I trust my kitties with her totally. She lets me know what’s going on so I don’t worry about them when I’m away.
Shelley is absolutely fantastic. I can’t tell people enough how nice it is to not have to worry about my (difficult) cats being taken care of! I always know Shelley will make sure they are ok.
Shelley is wonderful. The boys love her and she is always on time and interactive with them.
Shelley was absolutely fantastic. She was very communicative and made me feel much less anxious about being away from my cat for a few days.

I'm currently available for drop-ins. For our drop-ins I can do whatever your pup needs! Potty breaks, play time, a meal, medication, positive training reinforcement, snuggles, whatever you request :) I know each pet has different needs and I'm happy to accommodate those and provide consistency and security for your baby. Please note I am more than happy to do any sort of positive reinforcement training but will not punish or negatively correct pups, I don't feel comfortable with this kind of training. For cat drop-in visits I'm happy to feed & water, scoop the litter box, have playtime & pets or just hang out if they'd like company but may not be very social :)
Information Shelley G. would like to know about your pet
I wanna hear everything about your dog's personality and quirks! I believe a happy pet is one whose specific needs are fulfilled, so I am very interested to hear any and all pertinent information about your pet's needs. Every pet seems to have their idiosyncrasies and different requirements, so anything from diet to medication, allergies, medical issues, behavioral needs (if they don't get along with other dogs/people etc.), specific routine needs, training consistency information (specific commands/rewards), and any other information you feel is important, like any aggression issues, temperament quirks, exercise/playtime needs, favorite activities, or just tips for making your pet happy are more than appreciated!
A typical day
If your pup has a favorite activity I'm happy to do that ! If they want to play with their favorite toys, fetch in the backyard, practice some commands or good behavior, etc. I like to tailor a dog's activity to their specific needs so that the pup is happy and gets whatever they need and what their owner requests for them- exercise if needed, potty breaks, sniff time/yard patrol, pets & loving, training reinforcement, or taking it easy if a more leisurely pace is needed for seniors or injured/special needs pets.
