I am a dog owner and long-time lover of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I grew up with Brittany Spaniels and could not wait to get my own dog once I got out of college. Now I have a border collie mix named Harper and have had lots of experience watching my family and friend's dogs before I joined Rover.com. I will love your dog or cat as my own. For boarding: I live in a house with a big, fenced-in backyard and plenty of space for your pup. He/she will have a great time playing outside with Harper and will come home happy and tired. I will provide a daily walk, or a run if your dog is used to running. I prefer dogs who will be okay at home for a couple of hours. I never like to leave my dog and a Rover dog out together while I am gone. I don't think it is safe, especially if the dogs don't know each other well (first-time clients). I prefer crate-trained dogs, but am willing to accept dogs who would be okay hanging out in my guest bedroom by themselves while I am gone.
