Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Shelby. I am a dog owner and a senior animal science student on the path of becoming a veterinarian. I am looking to take care of pets of any size. I have experience from interning at a local vet clinic over the summer, so I’m confident in my pet handling skills. With that being said, getting to meet your fabulous pet would be a great pleasure for me not only because I love animals but because it moves me forward in what I strive to become, which is, an understanding and caring doctor of veterinary medicine!

Shelby gave me such peace knowing my golden retriever puppy was in good hands while I was at work. She was attentive, responsive, and treated my puppy like it was her own.
Shelby is the absolute best. I’ve been working with her for a year and she is always caring, thoughtful, and sweet with my dogs! She even brought them a Christmas gift. I would recommend to anyone!!!

Shelby is amazing! She far exceeded our expectations making drop in visits for our dog when we were away for 5 days. She sent us hilarious and thorough updates and kept our pug entertained as well. We are lucky to have found her!!

I have a fur baby of my own so I know how important it is to make sure whoever takes care of your pet is doing their very best and nothing less of that. I am an active listener so whatever you want me to do it will be done to a tee. Crating, giving medicine, enrichment activities, etc. are all things within my capabilities and even if something isn’t I will be sure to let you know. I have house sit before so updates on anything will always be given and I will leave your home just as it was. Your home and pet is like another part of you so I would never treat it as less than that.

I am currently in school until I graduate so I make sure to update my calendar each time I am away. When I am here, back home, this is a priority of mine. My availability is very flexible since this is what I want to truly focus on during my breaks.
