Pet care experience
Hi everyone! My name is Shelby and I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life. Dogs are truly my passion and am very lucky to have two loving and kind Labrador Retrievers in my home. My two pups help with each and every furry friend that comes to stay and ensures they have fun and are comfortable throughout their duration 😊 Aside from being a fur mom, I’ve also fostered many dogs and have found each one a forever home.

I have a very large fenced in yard for hours of play time or sunshine naps. If crates are necessary they will have to be brought since I do not have one. Every dog is welcomed on the furniture and on our bed. We go for lots of walks and even have a custom made doggy swimming pool for the summertime. In the winter we love to play all day long in the snow, as well as snuggle up inside with a bone. I am very fortunate to live in a centrally located area and quiet little neighborhood to create the best atmosphere for your baby. I ask that you bring your own food bowl, food and treats. Please also bring any item (bed,blanket,toy) that will make your pup more at home.

A typical day
My gut instinct is to never overwhelm a pup who is unfamiliar with our home, family, and their new surroundings… for their own sake. We try to keep things very low key with nice walks around our neighborhood, saying hi to neighbors and checking their “pee mail” ?. With our 2 existing pups it can be a challenge at first for everyone to get to know each other and begin to feel comfortable, so we spend quite a bit of time outside (weather permitting) for everyone’s safety, while my husband and I show everyone love and affection equally. It never takes more than a small amount of time to accomplish this. I find that most other sitters boast a fun, exciting, jam packed atmosphere, and while that may tucker your pup out, it can also create an unsteady environment. As you are going on vacay, your pup is also going on vacay as well at our home. We try our hardest to keep it relaxing ?

*Please feel free to message me to talk additional availability😊* I primary work Monday through Friday and make my own schedule. If necessary I can come and go as needed throughout the week but will be home and dedicated to your furry family member for weekend stays. I will absolutely make exceptions for pups who are familiar to our family to accommodate a longer stay. Please also reach out to discuss schedule options based off of holidays, as well as my ability to work from home. I’m always happy to help in any way that suits all parties 😊 The schedule located on my page does not always fully reflect extra availability that could be offered!
