Hi! I'm Shelby, and I have owned dogs my entire life. I am a Registered Nurse, hold a PhD, work in higher education, and have a knack for connecting with dogs. My husband, 6-year-old daughter, 16 month-old son, and I currently share our Holbrook home with our mixed-breed rescue pup, Felix. Felix adores other dogs and has a laid back, friendly personality. Our home has a large sized yard. Though our yard is not fenced in, our neighborhood is extremely dog friendly, with parks in every direction, even right next door! We love to take walks as a family, enjoy local dog parks, and just snuggle on the couch too. We would love to host your fur baby!

A last minute appointment to have some work done on my house sent me scrambling to find someone to take my dog Tedy for the day. A friend recommended I try the Rover site. I saw Shelby's profile and sent her a message and she agreed to take him immediately. We were unable to actually meet each other beforehand, so I obviously had some reservations about leaving my dog with a "stranger", but Shelby and I had a good conversation the day before and it just felt right. My husband dropped Tedy off at Shelby's the next morning, Tedy got out of the car, went right over to Shelby and never looked back :) She sent me tons of pictures all day and Tedy was smiling in every one of them. He looked very content! Shelby was a huge help to me and my husband that day. I was very lucky to have found her on the Rover site. I would definitely use her services again, she was the perfect fit for Tedy's needs and gave me total peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Shelby's to my friends and family.

We have a large yard with multiple dog leads. We also live right next door to a dog park. We have multiple crates at home, so we can easily crate your pup if needed. There is an animal hospital across the street in the event of an emergency as well.
