Pet care experience
I am an avid pet lover and owner! I have experience with everything from dogs and cats, to horses and goats, there is not much that intimidates me. I have a 4 year college degree in animal science and over 20 years of experience with animals. I moved to Colorado a year ago to gain connections and establish relationships that will eventually help me to attend vet school. I currently for the CSU vet hospital in the equine department. I have experience working at a dog boarding and training facility as well as pet sitting in private homes . I have worked with many different breeds and ages. I am comfortable administering medication too. While working at the dog kennel, I experienced some very stressful situations with a variety of different dogs. I gained a vast amount of knowledge working with unfamiliar pets that can be applied pet sitting.

I have known Shelby for over 15 years. She is a caring, responsible, and trustworthy person. Throughout our years of friendship, I have watched her raise many types of animals, both companion and livestock. She has also maintained relationships with numerous families that she has pet sit for. In additon, Shelby has professional experience training guide dogs and was trusted to give special care and training to some of them in her home. She has watched my aussie, Coorah, countless times and is always the first one I think of. Coorah and I are lucky to know her!

As a pet owner, I know how stressful time apart can be for both the pet and owner. Because of this, I like to spend a lot time with the animals. I also understand the importance of pets getting out, but also sticking as much as possible to their daily routines. I strive to do this, and keep it as comfortable as I can for the animals.
