Shelby comes from a multiple dog and cat house household. She is concerned about their welfare and is sensitive to their disposition and needs. She is the first to notice when one of them is not acting normal. Besides her caring and intuitive nature that make her a good sitter, she is very conscientious. Even in elementary school, she wouldn't want to stop anywhere on the way home if she had a lot of homework (that work ethic continued through college and she graduated with honors). In addition, she was involved in theatrical arts through middle and high school which has given her skills in presenting information visually which I believe helps her communicate well with animals. Finally, since she loves the outdoors and is also a homebody, she is happy to take a dog on a long walk or cuddle with him/her on the couch (if allowed on the couch). I feel qualified to give a testimonial because as her mother I have taught her to respect animals. I have also seen her in many different situations, from rescuing stray kittens to taking care of our senior dogs, she has always shown compassion and respect and done the right thing for them.
