Hi there, my name is Shelby and I am a huge animal lover. I have experience with all personalities and quirks of dogs and cats due to my three year running career at the SPCA. Dogs and cats who come to our house will have the company of our three friendly female dogs but will also be able to settle down in a separate bedroom set up for them, if they desire. I do have two rabbits as well that have their own bedroom and are kept separate from the dogs, but this means I can not take any guest dogs with extremely high prey drives. Your beloved family member will get great care due to the fact that myself and my partner will both be available at to spend time, walk, play, and give them attention! I have plenty of experience giving medication to cats and dogs, including insulin shots; special needs animals are welcome. We both work 8 hour days on tues- thrusday, but I only work 6 hour days Mon and Friday. We are home evenings and weekends. Our dogs enjoy trips to Little Long Pond in Seal Harbor, Lurvey Spring Rd near Echo Lake, quick hikes up Beech and Acadia Mtn as well; they would be happy to have a friend join! Dog boarding at our home: Dogs will have plenty of room to run in our secure fenced yard with 6-7 ft high chain link. Our three dogs are female and all around 50lb, they are welcoming and friendly! Dogs staying over Tues- Thurs need to be okay with some alone time as I do work at the SPCA in Trenton for 8 hours on those days. We will have a bedroom where dogs can be set up and separated if necessary while we are at work. Dogs coming to the house need to have an up to date rabies shot and be current on flea/tick meds. Dog sitting in your home: Same work hours will apply for dog's alone time at your home. Either myself or my partner would spend the night with your animals, so one of us can spend the night with our dogs at home. Your home will be cleaner than you left it and your animals happy when you get home! Check-ins and walks: These services are mostly available Monday and Friday mornings, and weekends throughout the day. Dogs who pull are absolutely fine, I also have extra harnesses at home that would fit medium/large dogs if necessary. I will not use a prong or shock collar on your dog if you provide it, as research has shown that negative reinforcement is harmful and unproductive towards training goals. Dogs who are nervous of cars passing, reactive toward strangers or other dogs, or escape artists are all very manageable. Let me know if anything is unclear or if you have questions. Shelby
