My name is Shelby, I am a 23 year old dog lover who would love to take your fur baby on adventures. Growing up my family was Canadian Kennel Club registered Labrador Retriever Breeders, therefore I am experienced with dogs of all ages, from brand new to old. I've been surrounded by dogs my entire life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am dog-mom to two Labrador Retrievers, Calvin and Sable. Calvin loves canine pals, and would love to join your fur-baby on a walk if they also like to make new friends. Sable is a rescue from the humane society who struggles with anxiety and fear when it comes to other dogs (for that reason we no long offer daycare/overnights in our home). I am experienced in working dogs who struggle with anxiety, fear, and reactivity and also am happy to work with any training tools you currently implement (flat collar, harness, prong, muzzle, etc.). I love going hiking regularly, so if your pal needs more than a casual walk around the block I would love to take them on an adventure to a local hiking trail (Parrot's Bay, Gould Lake, Frontenac Provincial Park, etc.) for an additional travel and time fee. I can guarantee time in nature will make your rambunctious fur baby ready for a long nap once they're back home. I require that all dogs be ON-leash on hikes for their own and others safety.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dogs! Shelby is so attentive, loving, and caring; she treats my dogs like they’re her own, and I know she genuinely cares about their wellbeing while she’s watching over them. I 100000% Recommend Shelby for any future dog watching jobs; she will not let you down and your dogs will leave with empty bladders, full tummies, and wagging happy tails!
Shelby is one of those humans that is so naturally in tune with dogs, it is amazing. She is wonderfully kind, organized and trust worthy. You can be certain your dog would be well taken care of with Shelby !

Before sitting your dog it's important for me to know what their temperament is like, what activities they enjoy, if there is anything that causes fear or reactivity to them, etc. I am happy to work with dogs with all sorts of needs, as long as they are relayed to me ahead of time. I do not have breed preferences for walking, but you could say I have a soft spot for labs.
A typical day
I love both nature and urban walks, and would be happy to take your pal on his favourite route or try our a new adventure with them. Does fido love to play fetch? Sable has me trained to throw the ball non-stop. Does your furry pal love to take a dip in the summer? I'd be happy to walk them on a route that take them bye a swimming hole. If your dog likes canine pals, Calvin will be happy to hang out with them, play chase or tug-of-war and show them all his favourite places.
