Hi fellow cat & dog parents, I go by Shay and I'm currently a cat mom of 1 & step-mom to my roommate's cat. I am a cat & dog volunteer at Brandywine SPCA and I interact with a large variety of animal personalities on a weekly basis. My business is insured & bonded! For cats, I've lived with cats my entire life and consider myself a cat whisper. I'm skilled at helping shy kitties unlock their cat mojo (as Jackson Galaxy would say) aka become more comfortable in their environment. For dogs, I am a highly physically active individual who loves long walks, jogs, playtime, and overall helping dogs unleash their energy and get out the house! While by no means am I a trainer or behaviorist, I do have some functional knowledge of training techniques. I will make sure your pets are loved in your absence as though they were my own and their safety is priority #1. 🥰 Add on services: Nail clipping: $5/per pet Teeth cleaning: $5/per pet Nail cap application: $10/per pet (I have cat nail caps available)

It was our first vacation away from our kitten and Shay took incredible care of her - visiting twice a day to feed her and clean her litter, as well as make sure she had plenty of playtime. Our kitten is very high energy and needs a lot of attention, cuddles etc so we were thankful to Shay for keeping her such good company!!
This is our second time booking Shelby and we can’t say enough things about her! She’s responsive, reliable and has a love for animals. We know our cat feels loved while we’re gone and we greatly appreciate the photo and video check-ins. We’ll be booking again!
Really sweet and communicative. Put in lots of extra effort during her visits with my cat.
Shelby was great and gave me peace of mind that my dog was in good care while I was gone.

I constantly watch out for hazards, put food away as soon as it is eaten, and keep pets in my line of sight at all times. If multiple pets are in the home with different energy levels (in general or just that day), I may separate them.

Important Notes - My drop-in rates are applicable within a 5mi distance / 10 minute commute. Additionally charges per visit will apply for driving outside that range.
A typical day
I like to take dogs out on nice strolls in the park as well as a more fast-paced jog. If a dog park is near I'd take them to play fetch and get a little free roaming time! In the evening I like to chill on the couch and have a snuggle while I get work done or enjoy a leisure activity.
