Hello, my name is Shelby. Pets have been a part of my family since I was five years old. My dad allowed us to have our first puppy after I would only say the word “dog” for weeks. I had a light brown boxer who, unfortunately, passed away in 2019. She was my best friend and giving her baths and taking her on long walks was the highlight of my childhood. When I was 13, my family rescued a second dog who ended up to be a disabled miniature pincher. She had MPS 6, which means she was not able to walk and she couldn’t breathe easily. She was 5 years old when she passed away in September 2021. When my boxer passed away and my disabled dog became sicker, I decided to adopt a kitten for myself. My cat is now almost 5 years old and is the most hyper and cuddly cat. She is great with both dogs and other cats. A play date with a puppy or a friendly dog or cat is her perfect day! She is also able to be removed to a separate room in the house if you are u comfortable with her being around your pet.
