Pet care experience
I have been a life long dog owner. I have owned dogs ranging from a sassy chihuahua to a 120lb Mastiff that enjoys spending her time away from other pets. I also enjoy fostering dogs and seniors/hospice are my heart. I work with a local rescue group preparing dogs for the transition into their forever home. I am comfortable handling timid dogs and understand the sensitivity that is needed. Animals are my passion and I will make every effort to make your pets time enjoyable. I am familiar with special diets and medical needs and can administer oral or injectable medication. I am comfortable with sticking to a strict routine that the dog parent sets in place for me to follow. Even I have a list a mile long for the people that care for my pets while I'm away ❤️

Shelby has been extremely reliable and professional while taking care of my dog Lucy. I'm very Particular over who watches her because she is a bully breed and can be hard to handle at times. Luckily I met Shelby and all my fears of having someone watch her have come to an end. I know I never have to worry and my dog is in great hands! Not only is she great with my dog she is also very flexible with my schedule and is always willing to help out when needed. Great experience all around.
I have used her services a few times when I'm in a pinch and can't get home in time for a potty break. She's pretty flexible and doesn't mind the last minute requests. I have boarded my dog at her house when I went to Florida for a few days . I love the set up. She can do a play group for the dogs that enjoy play time and she also has a private room for the dogs that aren't friendly. Mine is not friendly so she was kept separate from the others and I wasn't hesitant about it. I had confidence that there wouldn't be a mistake made.
Shelby has been caring for my dogs for years. She is extremely attentive to their very special needs. I have a senior lab that takes multiple medications and needs to be monitored. I also have a pretty rowdy Pit that is not an easy walk. When he comes back from his walks with her, I can tell that she has been working with him. She has also been pet sitting for me over the years and I always feel confident that my pets are not only safe but feel loved while I'm out of town. Normally I feel guilty when I leave but she sends me picture and video messages of the fun activities they're doing. She always takes them to the park. My senior loves to just sunbathe and the Pit loves to get wild. She's just a really knowledgeable girl and it shows.

A typical day
I enjoy working with dogs and teaching them basic commands and obedience while using positive reinforcement. I love spending one on one time with dogs to make them feel loved and special. I have separate rooms in my home for dogs that are dog friendly and dogs that prefer to be alone. I also have a secure 8ft privacy fence with a locked gate. I accept dogs with behavioral issues and medical needs in my home and there are no breed restrictions. I have a private dog park next to my home that allows one dog at a time that I utilize with my visiting pets. There is plenty of room to run around and a fun fountain for the dogs to play in.
