Pet care experience
Hello fellow cat lovers! My name is Shelby and I’m a passionate cat sitter with over 2.5 years of professional experience. I have experience giving oral medications and insulin injections. I have two cats of my own, Lauren and Princess, who both have unique personalities. Lauren is very serious, a bit anxious, and is deeply loving. Princess is adventurous, playful, and loves everyone. My background includes 3 years of working as a veterinary receptionist, and additional experience volunteering at animal rescues and cat shows. Currently, I’m studying Geological Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines.
Reviews
Shelby did great. She always takes really great care of my 2 cats when I’m out town and is great with sending clear communication with videos, photos and a description
Excellent as always!!! Shelby’s the best!!
Shelby is, as always a fantastic sitter for our two cats. We appreciate her so much!
This was our second time with Shelby and we couldn't be happier with the service. Our cat is suspicious of change and strangers, but was right at home with Shelby. We appreciated the daily updates and knew that our cat was in good hands. Would highly recommend, and will contact again when we're away.

I offer drop-ins and house sitting in your home. Drop-ins typically involve a 30 min visit that includes taking care of food, water, and litterbox, bringing in mail and packages, and spending quality time engaging with your cat. House sitting includes all the above plus overnight stays in your home and light house maintenance, such as watering plants and shoveling the driveway. I prioritize providing a safe and comfortable environment for your cat, taking precautions such as locking doors during my visit. For housesitting, I’m typically out of the house during the day, and at your house from 7pm-7am.
Information Shelby G. would like to know about your pet
Your cat’s boundaries, medications, health history, feeding schedule, and location of litterboxes are all important details for me to know. Is your cat social, playful, or shy? Please feel free to share any other specific preferences or routines your cat has. The more information I have, the better I can tailor my care to meet your cat's individual needs and preferences, ensuring they receive the personalized attention they deserve.
A typical day
Most cats warm up to me quickly. My first visits are focused on building trust. I want your cat to be comfortable approaching me, so it’s important to establish that I’m a safe person. Usually, within a couple of days, most cats are missing their parents and appreciate the attention. Depending on your cat’s personality and body language, I will adapt my approach to focus on petting, playtime, or both! Some cats prefer just to have a human to talk to, and sometimes I will sing to your cat. I always tailor my interactions to suit each cat's individual preferences and personality traits, ensuring they feel comfortable and content in my care.
