Although I am new to Rover, I’ve been taking care of both my own and other people’s pets for as long as I can remember. I have professionally worked with pets for almost 10 years. I have experience with all kinds of animals—dogs, cats, fish, lizards, etc!

Shelby is amazing! Our little pup ended up getting diagnosed with an infection right before our trip, she handled the meds and care like a champ! Very communicative with plenty of pictures and videos! So happy!
Shelby has be phenomenal in all the months she’s helped watch our dog Philly and cat Milo. She’s has become our go-to house sitter and we can leave and come back with reassurance that our house will be in order and our animals are happy. She sends constant updates is warm, friendly and we can’t thank her enough!
Shelby is the best!! We have had her watch our Susan (mini weenie) several times and Susan loves her so much! Shelby is always sending pics and videos of Susan, which we LOVE, and we know she is in the very best hands. I almost don’t want to share how amazing Shelby is so we can keep her for ourselves :) But in all seriousness she is the absolute best and being anxious dog parents with our ~high maintenance~ fur baby there is truly no one better and we always feel so comfortable leaving Susan in her care. Highly highly recommend Shelby!!!

I also have experience with more complex care, often working with a client that has 15 dogs with all different needs. I also worked at PetSmart for years as a manager, so I have experience with medical care for many species of animals, as well as what to do if there is an emergency with a pet. I also understand how to work with pets. I take care go learn their routine and stick to it. I also take a LOT of pictures so you will get updates multiple times a day! I make sure to always leave your house cleaner than I found it and will also take pictures so you know that everything is done!

Energy level, behavioral traits (jumping, barking, chewing, etc), general schedule, medications or diet needs and restrictions, are they crated or crate trained, how long they can be left alone, are they loose-leash walking trained (ie, pulling)
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks, and if their diet allows, play some enrichment games. I also like to do any kind of activities they do on a daily basis, like fetch, etc

Availability
I am available for overnight sitting, but I do now have a fully time job, so the babies would have to be okay alone for 8ish hours. If you live in an apartment or do not have a fenced in backyard, dog drop ins include a short 10 min walk to stretch their legs. I am totally free most weekends.
