Raised in agriculture, animals have been at the heart of my life since childhood. I traveled the west and southwest learning working ranch dogs and the beauty of the dog's nature. Since coming back to Indiana I currently work in small animal ER veterinary medicine. Let me help your pet live happy and healthy.

We couldn't be happier with Shelby. She "boarded" Charlotte for 24 hours, and my only complaint is that when we picked her up, Charlotte didn't seem eager to leave with us! She had a great time with Shelby and her dog, Georgia. Shelby obviously LOVES animals (as her profile says, she work in small animal ER veterinary medicine). She took our dog and hers on several long walks each day. She sent us plenty of texts, photos, and videos. She let Charlotte have the run of her house with Georgia and they quickly became best buds. She even let both dogs snuggle with her at night in her bed (we do that as well, so Charlotte felt right at home). Charlotte seemed like a kid coming home from a week at summer camp; tired, but happy. I know she'll be thrilled to return to Shelby, which will happen again soon. I recommend Shelby whole-heartedly. She's a fantastic vacation mom for our dog (and a very nice person). You can't ask for any better Rover sitter than Shelby.

Shelby has been an animal lover since she was very young. She understands what it takes to care for them and to treat with love and compassion. She is extremely responsible and prompt. As a vet tech she also understands how to keep pets healthy. She has a keen eye for an animal in distress and what it might take to bring it back to health. She would be a great asset to any organization working with people and animals.

I believe that our dogs thrive when getting daily exercise. Walking is a great way to regulate exercise, monitor bathroom habits and keep your pet in their ideal physical state. A bored pet finds trouble such as eating things they shouldn't and can cause a bigger problem. A walk exercises both mind and body

Please let me know medications ahead of time. Also temperament around children. My son is fantastic with dogs but I am always prepared. Arthritis, or any illness that will hinder activities.
A typical day
I love to take my own personal dogs hiking and on walks we do roughly 4 miles daily. They also love to swim and play fetch.
