Hi, I’m Shelby! I have my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and my Master’s in Public Health-Veterinary Public Health. I’ve taken care of dogs of every breed you can think of for the past 12 years. I worked at a kennel for 9+ years where I fed, walked, bathed, and gave medications all kinds of dogs daily. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for a year where I gained a lot of animal handling and care experience. I have always been the first person that my family and friends call when they need someone trustworthy to watch and care for their dogs. Caring for animals has been my passion since I was little and it brings me so much joy to be around animals.

Shelby was amazing! She provided great updates and photos, which was really important to me. She was very warm and friendly and was great with our boxer, Scooby! When we came home after our weekend away, the house was clean and our dog was calm and relaxed. I look forward to booking Shelby again in the future!!
Shelby always takes care of my furry babies when I'm out of town. She is great with them, treats them like if they were her own. Actually, she currently has both of my dogs while I am on vacation, it's the third time this year she's helped with extended boarding and I receive pictures/updates every day. I definitely recommend her.

When dog sitting I will ensure that your pup is taken out before I go to work and that they have a full bowl of water and are fed. When I get home from work I will make sure to take them on a walk to get some exercise and do their business. Then I will spend the rest of the day cuddling and playing with your pup! On the weekend the stay would consist of many walks, cuddles, and play time! I have always been big on communication, so you can expect many pictures and updates of your fur baby while you’re away😊

Beforehand it would be important to know when you typically feed your dog, take them on walks, or give any medications to ensure your dog stays on their usual routine. If they require and special care instructions, please let me know.
A typical day
I will ensure that your dog gets plenty of exercise and play time to prevent boredom. I really enjoy going to trails at parks, so your dog will be able to experience all the smells! I am also totally okay with chilling and relaxing with your pup if they have a more mellow temperament or special physical needs!

I currently work full time (8-5 weekdays), but I am free any time after work and on the weekends! Any free time I have I plan to spend with your fur baby😊
