Pet care experience
I currently work at a vet clinic and before that worked as an assistant manager as an equine midwife for 8 years so I am very knowledgeable and capable with horses of any age. I have also had dogs and cats all my life so I know how to take care of them and their needs. The knowledge I gained from working with horses is very applicable to working with dogs and cats. I know when they are feeling ill, I know their body language when they are off, anxious or aggressive. I also am very responsible and capable administering medication. I have done house sitting for one couple 2 years in a row for a week where I took care of their cat as well as the horses. I’ve also done a long term sit recently in forest hill ( 2 months ) with 2 dogs. I have my own home that I rent so I am quite capable at problem solving if something comes up. When I travel I really enjoy staying at Airbnbs and can share the reviews that homeowners left for me.

I like to take dogs to the dog parks to let them run around and play. I also enjoy walking them around the local neighbourhood with me .

Availability
I am working at a vet clinic so house sitting looks like taking care of the pets and walking them in the morning and then again when I get home in the evening where we can all hang out together. So the best situations are with pets that are already used to a routine like this. I do long term house sitting, 2 weeks minimum. I’ve done many sits on trusted house sitters with great reviews which are in my photos.
