Pet care experience
I have always had a lovely pet in the house. Most recently, I have my 16 yr old senior dog, Lucky. He is currently with my mom since my dad passed away so she needs the comfy companion now more than ever. However, I still feel the need to socialize with animals. I am a PhD student in microbiology and immunology originally from Puerto Rico so strays were always around my house. I have taken care of all of my friends pets for some time now, dogs, cats, hamsters, and a lovely spotted gecko. Animals always make my days brighter.

Shekina was absolutely amazing! She took Zola in last minute and kept her entertained for the whole day while I worked! Also updated me so much which made me feel much better being away from my baby! Would 100% recommend and look forward to booking her again!!
Shekina was an excellent caregiver for my Pug puppy, Puggy. She was genuinely interested in spending time with Puggy. She was on time on the day of and even offered to administer Puggy's medication, so I wouldn't have to make the trip home. I highly recommend Shekina for your pet sitting needs!
Shekina is an absolute delight. If you are looking for someone to love your pets as her own, look no further. She respects your space, your loving pets, and pet parents. Our dog is a senior and he requires special attention and delicacy. She knows how to pick him up the right way. She knows how to care for him. She’s a great listener and goes above and beyond. Our doggie loves her and when I am not there, I have absolutely no problem (or guilt!) in leaving our doggie in her care. I trust her and I highly recommend her. If you are looking for someone who loves animals and is knowledgeable, Shekina is your sitter and dog walker. She even walks at the pace our doggie can since his legs can only take so much. She’s awesome.

I am available most weekends, evenings, and am flexible throughout the weekdays. Since I am a graduate student I can work a lot from home or come home from the lab, so I can definitely be flexible just let me know what it is that is needed!
