Dog-Mom Available to Drop-in/Walk!
Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and dogs and have helped care for friend's and family member's dogs over the years. Two years ago, my family and I lucked out and adopted our first dog, Maggie! I'd love to help others care for their dogs in my free time. I work on a school schedule, so I'm available early mornings, afternoons, weekends and school breaks I love being active outdoors and, if your dog was willing, we could go hiking, running or simply go for a stroll. For drop-ins, I may sometimes have my two kids (8 and 10) with me, but they are also coo-coo for dogs, like me! And if your dog was so inclined, I could bring my Maggie, as she LOVES other dogs of all sizes!
Reviews
Sheila is a great cat sitter. Our cats are very shy and she did her best to send photos. She gave reports on each of her visits. I like that she is a local sitter too.
So glad we were able to find Sheila to help watch our cat while out of town! She took the time to come over beforehand and checked-in on him every day while we were gone. Even though he dove under the couch each time she came by Sheila still made an effort to take a picture of him under the couch. We'll definitely be trying to book Sheila again on our next trip!
Sheila sent lots of pictures of the walk. Elvis was chill and happy when we got home. Recommended.
Sheila is a lifesaver. Tonight she was able to run over to my house at the last minute and feed Ezzy and take her out when I had an emergency at work. She is so reliable and helpful and communicative. Thank you Sheila!!

My dog, Maggie, is happiest when she's outside, laying in the yard. That's where she typically spends most of her time in nice weather. When I take care of another dog, I generally take them on multiple walks for 20-30 minutes at a time. I would strive to keep your dog with me at all times, whether at home or driving my kids around to various activities. If I have to go out for a short time, I'll put my dog downstairs and your dog will have the upper level to stretch out in, including a screened in porch.

Information Sheila S. would like to know about your pet
My dog, Maggie, is a very happy, excitable and lovable lab/collie who loves to play with other dogs. She plays "like a dog", so she wrestles and jumps, and it can look like rough-housing, but she has never bit/hurt another dog. If your dog does not like that kind of playing, I will absolutely keep them separated. Maggie understands when another dog does not want to play.
A typical day
I live in a nice, walkable neighborhood, and I would take your dog on 3-4 walks every day. I will usually include one visit to an open-space (I'm a 10-minute walk away from one) or a walk on a path somewhere in town or close by. I also have a large, open space in my house that is good for playing in, whether with me and my kids or with some toys.

Availability
I work in a school from September through June, so my availability and services increase in July/August. Boarding for one small dog is possible in the summer, after a meet-and-greet with my dog, Maggie.
