I love your animals as much as mine

Pet care experience

I was the resident pet sitter at the boarding school I worked at while in nursing school and have cared for fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguanas, cats, and dogs. I believe in compassion, patience, and trust to make a successful bond and I want your pet to feel safe around me. I have trained each of my own dogs throughout my life and continue to educate myself on ways to better do so.

Sheila is amazing with my large dog. She is reliable and I was very comfortable with her immediately. I would 10/10 recommend!

I highly recommend Sheila to care for your babies! She is always the person I call when I go on vacation because I know my babies will not only be safe, but they will be loved on and treated as special as they are. She’s so patient and caring with her own dogs, and she has plenty more love for other animals. I’m sure a lot of people would be acceptable for the job, but if you want your babies to be treated special, with the love and attention you’d give them yourselves, then Sheila is your person!

Safety, trust & environment

I prefer to learn the routine your pet is used to and will comply as closely as possible so s/he feels less disrupted. I've often received a written schedule, which can also be communicated verbally, and follow this as closely as possible. I respect the homes I stay in, so no guests while I am at your place.

Information Sheila R. would like to know about your pet

Let me know what your pet likes and doesn't like so I can make sure my time with them is the most comfortable and beneficial for them. If there are any behaviors I should be aware of, that's totally fine! I just need to know so everyone involved stays safe and cared for.

A typical day

Mental stimulation is just as important as physical. I'd love to take your dog for a walk to sniff all the things or work in the yard on manners or a new simple trick. There are lots of places where we could go to observe the scenery, chase a ball, or just laze in the sun, if that's what they prefer.
