Wrk from home/large fenced yard!

Pet care experience

I love dogs and have a beautiful 1/2 Lab 1/2 GSP of my own who I fostered and then adopted February 2018; she will gladly keep your dog company and busy playing at my home. I have a large fenced in back yard 2 miles from downtown Portsmouth with plenty of room for the dogs to play and run around in. I work from home, and have some time on my hands, to give lots of love and attention to your dog/dogs for the time being. I will only take up to 2 dogs (over 2 years of age only for both daycare and boarding!) in at a time for day care and 1 or 2 for boarding so your dog will get plenty of love and one on one attention. You can rest assured knowing I will care for your pets better than most. When I am walking your dog, I will engage with them, give them loads of attention, and will not be looking at/reading my phone! There are toys and tennis balls for them to play with in the yard and they will be let out every 2 hours for potty breaks and play, and can lounge around on the couches if they feel like it too. If they are 100% with recall, we go for trail hikes/ walks otherwise they can be walked on leash around my neighborhood. At bed time, I play soft spa like music so the pups can sleep well and comfortable. I would like to have a meet and greet with all dogs and owners before they board at my home. My daycare rates are for up to 8.5 hours per day. If you drop your dog off at 8:30, the dog must be picked up by 5pm otherwise you will be charged another half day rate. Latest pickup is 6:30pm. After 6:30pm it becomes an overnight boarding. Thank you for understanding. I am currently working from home, and also own my own business so as long as I am home and not traveling I am here for the dogs most of the day. At the most, I might pop out for an hour but the dogs will not be left alone for more than an hour or 2 max. I have a large crate here if your dogs likes to be crated. I am not currently housesitting, only taking dogs in at my home.

Sheila was great as a overnight dog sitter. Her own dog, Dakota, is very friendly and got along well with my dog. She has a fenced yard so the pups can play. She was great with communication and we arranged a meet and great easily, and then was responsive on the day I left my dog and upon returning. She sent multiple photos via instagram so I could see how my dog was doing. I would definitely have her dog sit again and I recommend her to others!

I’ll start by saying that Sheila is the most wholesome and kind person and to top it all off she loves dogs. I’m new to NH and it was hard for me to think about leaving Maverick with anyone new, but the moment I met Sheila and Dakota all my worries went away. Sheila loved on Maverick like he was her own and provided me with consistent updates on his time with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better suited person to care for my dog during my trip. We will definitely be back and can’t thank Sheila enough!!

Every time I leave town I know our dog Mansell is in great hands with Sheila. She takes pride in making sure all dogs are having the absolute best time. From outdoor adventures with her dog dakota to playing fetch in the backyard, Mansell comes home happy and tuckered out from having so much fun!!

Information Sheila R. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know that your dog gets along with all other dogs, because first and foremost, I need the dogs to get along with my dog Dakota in the household. I would like to know if you feed your dog any special diet, treats, and what his or her special needs are if any. Are they crate trained? I do have one if needed.

A typical day

I take my dog on off leash trail walks. If you’re not comfortable with your dog being taken somewhere in a car, I’m happy to walk the dog anywhere around in town, or through the woods on walks locally! Please let me know if your dog is capable of walking off leash or only on leash. Daycare drop off is between 8:30-9:00am and pick up is between 4:30-5:15pm
