I WILL TREAT YOUR DOG LIKE FAMILY

Pet care experience

My home will feel like home to your dog. My corgi lives in my home and is crate trained as all my dogs have been. I am a firm believer in crate training in a multiple dog household. Crate training discourages food aggression & disagreements. Also, when I'm away from the house, I would rather know dogs are safe in their crates than loose in the house where they might find a way to get into trouble. About this sitter: I've been pet sitting for many years and have been a dog owner & lover for most of my life. I currently have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is the love of my life. I will board your dog in my home or, if you prefer, I can come to your home & feed your dog(s), walk or take them out in your back yard for potty breaks, provide playtime as you request. I can offer a mid-day potty break for a young puppy which can help in house-breaking your new family member. Your well-mannered, spayed/neutered, crate-trained dog is welcome to stay overnight in my home whether you are going on vacation for the weekend or an extended vacation. I will care for your pet(s) as if they were my own. For pet visits to your home, my daily house visit rate is $25 per single visit, $40 for 2 visits, & $50 for 3 visits per day, for up to 2 dogs in the household. Additional dogs will be $10 per day. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog owner/lover all my life. I don't remember a time I didn’t have dogs and can't imagine life without them being a part of it. They make my life complete. Meet my pets 1Corgi--spayed female About my yard Yes, my home is located on a 1/2 acre lot with a large, fenced-in back yard, with plenty of room for exercise. My experience administering medication As long as your dog loves food in which I can hide their pills inside, or they willingly accept it as a treat, have no problem giving them medication.

We needed a caregiver last minute for 8 days over the holidays. Needless to say our usual boarding facility was overbooked, so using them was out of the question. We got on line and found Rover.com. It was very easy to find caregivers from the extensive list of people in our area. Rover.com put us in touch with Sheila P. We had a meet and greet with her that went well. After that we booked with Rover.com for Sheila to watch our canine child. When we dropped our friend off we were concerned that maybe he wouldn't be as comfortable there as he is at home. We were proved wrong! Sheila loved and cared for our pet just like he was with us at home! She also went above and beyond on making sure he came back to us with a clean blanket and crate. Sheila also sent texts and photos of our pet so we would rest easy at seeing how happy he was. I definitely will use this service again if the need arises.

Information Sheila P. would like to know about your pet

Before our stay begins, I would like to know something about your dog's personality, temperament, likes & dislikes, etc. While my breed is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, I love & respect all breeds/mixes. I do like to have a meet & greet before sitting for your dog(s), whether in your home or mine. This is to make sure we will all be a great fit for your pet for the duration of our time together.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks. The neighborhood in which I live is very quiet & well-lit at night for walks. I will also take your dog to the park down the street for extended walks weather permitting. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog can sleep in either a crate you provide or I can provide a crate in which your dog will sleep comfortably...I can accommodate almost any sleeping situation to make your dog's stay as comfortable as possible while you are away. Time I'll spend with your dog I plan to spend as much time with your dog each day as possible. I will provide twice daily walks & exercise in the back yard in between walks. I am home most of the day except for the occasional pet house visit; your dog will be my priority when I am home. Time I'll spend with your dog during a Pet Sitting House Visit: Thirty minutes is considered a house visit & I will perform any of the above tasks within that time frame. Number of pets, distance traveled, number of visits per day can vary depending upon what you, the client, ask me to do with/for your dog during my visit. Extra house-sitting services Upon request, while you are away on vacation or an extended stay, I will water plants, bring in your mail, turn lights on/off within the time frame of my visit.
