Pet care experience

Devoted dog lover & expert carer 🐾

What sets me apart is the depth of real, lived experience I bring to every booking. I'm not just a dog walker, I'm someone who has loved, raised and cared for dogs through every stage of life, including the most challenging ones. 🐾 I raised my Beagle, Dexter, from a puppy and cared for him through epilepsy in his later years, managing medication schedules, monitoring seizures and making difficult decisions about his welfare with love and dedication. This experience gave me a deep understanding of senior dog care, medical needs and the importance of routine and security. 🐾 I have also completed house sits caring for dogs full time, and I'm experienced in countryside walks, woodland hikes and adventurous days out, so whether your dog needs gentle companionship or an action packed adventure, I can provide both. 🐾 Animals have always responded well to me. I'm calm, patient and intuitive with dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments. Your dog won't just be looked after, they'll be genuinely loved. 💛

Safety, trust & environment

As I offer dog walking and house sitting services, I care for pets in their own home environment rather than my own. I believe this is the best approach. Dogs are happiest and most settled in familiar surroundings, and I'm fully committed to maintaining their routine, comfort and security while their owners are away. My experience with dogs goes far beyond just walks and cuddles. I previously cared for my beloved Beagle, Dexter, from puppyhood through to the age of nine. In his later years Dexter developed epilepsy, which meant I became experienced in managing complex care needs including strict medication schedules, monitoring his health closely, maintaining safe and secure environments, and making careful decisions about his wellbeing. Dexter was full of life and quite the character, which also taught me a great deal about patience, boundaries and keeping dogs safe. I take the safety and security of every dog in my care very seriously. Whether that means checking the perimeter of a garden, sticking to a strict routine, or simply being present and attentive. You can trust that your dog is in safe, experienced and loving hands.

I cannot recommend Sheena highly enough as a dog sitter and walker. I've trusted her to look after my Jack Russell Terrier, Bobby, and my home on numerous occasions while I've been away, and every single time I've returned to a happy dog and a very tidy house. Sheena and Bobby have clearly built a strong bond. I know she genuinely loves him, and he adores her right back. Whether she's been house sitting or picking him up for walks, I've always felt completely at ease knowing he's in her care. I also love that I get updates throughout with photos and videos while I'm away. It's so reassuring to see Bobby happy and having a great time, and it really shows how much she cares. Sheena is also incredibly thorough. After muddy walks she makes sure Bobby gets a proper wash and is clean and comfortable before settling him back into comfy house mode. That level of care and attention to detail really sets her apart. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own and leave your home exactly as you left it, look no further. Bobby and I are grateful to have her when needed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sheena looked after my cat Ethel while I was away on holiday for 10 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to trust to look after her. It is obvious to anyone that Sheena is a real animal lover, and treated Ethel with lots of love, attention, and care. She kept on top of feeding (and instructions), litter tray cleaning, playtime, and giving Ethel plenty of fuss and company while I was away. Sheena also offered to send me occasional update photos while I was gone - if I would like them - This was a lovely thought that I (of course) took her up on! The photos helped to keep me updated and let me relax knowing that Ethel was happy and well cared for. Sheena is responsible, trustworthy, and has a great deal of experience when it comes to animals and their care. I already knew that she has a lengthy experience with dog-care, walking, and sitting, as well as cat-sitting, both drop-in and live-in. I would absolutely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to look after their pets.

Sheena is a loving and empathetic animal lover. Putting our pets needs first and looking after them with a truly caring nature which is priceless! Sheena is also very capable and trustworthy and would be a safe pair of hands in situation that required someone to make decisions if necessary. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sheena to be a trusted person with your pets best interests at heart. I almost hesitate to recommend her as we’d really like to keep her just for ourselves 😆 though one shouldn’t be selfish! We have two poodles four cats and four chickens. The dogs are on heart medications which require a fixed schedule and we know we can trust Sheena to keep to their dose timings and we have peace of mind that they love and respond so well to her. We can go away knowing that they are in the best possible hands. She is an absolute gem.

Sheena has been my partner of 9 years this coming May! Other than the fact that I love this lady more than anything else in the world, she is the most perfect person to have around to look after your animal. I say animal, because she has this instinct within her where any dog, cat, bird, cow, chicken (these are examples I can give from experience) are immediately drawn to her vibe. She just has this instant connection with any animal she meets. We went for a walk once and found some cows in a field. I took a step back while Sheena moved forward, calmly and quietly and sat down in front of them clearly making them feel safe and not at harm. 10-15 cows stood there in front of her, like they were in some sort of trance! I was slightly concerned as I know that cows can be aggressive in certain circumstances. However, they were all clearly in awe of her. She just sat there. She was a calming, non-aggressive vibe that they were happy to just be there with. Truly a wonderful moment. When we left, we could see that they were saying goodbye. When I met Sheena, she had a wonderful, unique dog, a beagle called Dexter who I was so fortunate enough to get to know as well. I have never seen a connection so strong. They loved each other. They lived for each other. She took care of him when he became ill and she was the best thing that he needed right up until his final days. For Sheena, losing Dexter was like losing a son. It absolutely broke her. This showed me how much she cares for animals. More than humans, if I'm perfectly honest!!! "We don't deserve dogs" is a quote from her that sticks with me. Believe me. Sheena is the right human for your animal. In the safest of hands it will be X

Sheena looked after our dog, Marshmallow, for nine days. As a husky, he doesn’t form bonds quickly, but Sheena managed to earn his trust in no time. Through her consistency, calm nature, and genuine care, Marshmallow grew really fond of her and clearly enjoyed her company. He can be stubborn, yet this did not bother her. She was patient, attentive, and truly understood his needs. I would highly recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter or a caring companion for their pet.

Sheena is my Daughter, she is the most caring person with any animal. When she was younger she brought stray dogs and cats to the house and then the RSPCA was called to rescue them. Sheena would never even kill a spider, always catching them and letting them out. Sheena has grown up with dogs; our lovely Mylo, a Golden Retriever, and wonderful Dexter, a beagle who unfortunately had epileptic fits for the last 3 years of his life. Dexter was Sheena's life, l saw how she grieved for him for well over a year and still does. Sheena looks after her friends' dogs whenever she can, she is a natural animal lover. l hope one day she will have the opportunity to work with animals, as they will be in would great hands .

Schedule

I have a fluid and flexible lifestyle which means I can give dogs the time and attention they truly deserve. I work remotely and I'm able to manage my own schedule around pet care so your dog is never left alone for long and always has someone there for them. I'm available for extended house sits including weekends, and I'm comfortable staying at your home for longer periods. I do work from my laptop so will need access to WiFi during house sits, but for walks and drop in visits I work from my phone which works perfectly. I like to keep weekends free where possible for socialising, and of course I will have holidays booked, but I'm very open to flexibility and love to discuss what works best for you and your dog! 💛🐾
