Dogs are truly a special, connecting part of a family. Growing up with a black lab, Mick, has been a huge part of mine and my brothers’ childhoods, and I can’t imagine our family without one. I am also currently raising a puppy, Walton, through Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I understand the need to find a loving, knowledgeable person to meet your dogs needs, as they are truly a part of your family. I have walked dogs in my neighborhood for years and have both hosted dogs in my home while families are away on vacation as well as stayed at the family’s homes. Fostering a Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy comes with walking the dog at least 3 miles a day and a lot of training upkeep. For this reason, I am confident in my abilities to bring dogs for thorough walks while also giving them the love and attention that all dogs need and deserve. I focus primarily on positive reinforcement training, as taught in my twice monthly puppy classes through Guiding Eyes.
