Pet care experience
I love walking and I love dogs (and cats:))! I was the main care giver for all of my childhood dogs (Jake & Pepper & Winnie). I love being outside and exploring neighborhoods and parks -dogs are the best company. I'm responsible and timely when it comes to work and this will apply when I'm walking, feeding, loving, and caring for your dog! I spent the past 4 years in San Francisco/Berkeley and now I am a grad student at Yale, which means I have flexibility in my schedule for exploring New Haven! I hope to dedicate this time to dog walking (and other Rover jobs as needed. Can't wait to hang out with some new doggy&kitty pals!!

Shayna IS THE BEST. Shayna took amazing care of my cats. They were well fed and socialized. She even went above and beyond. Kept in great contact with me and sent fantastic photos. I am so thankful for her. Already rebooked.
Shayna is great with Chance and seems to really enjoy playing with him - even though he's pretty intense and energetic!
Shayna was a great help to us, very reliable and communicative. Akira, our doggie, can struggle meeting strangers, but seemed to click with Shayna very quickly, I guess she has that dog magic! :)
Shayna’s really great with Simba, and is super communicative, prompt and on time. We loved getting pictures while we were away!

A typical day
I’m getting to know the parks around East Rock but Ive been accompanying my friend and her dog on walks for the past few weeks to get to know the area. I will play fetch, practice dog tricks & simple training commands too!

Availability
I have classes at various times Monday eve - Thursday morning, so I’m very flexible to walk dogs throughout the day and evening! I’m an early riser and love exploring East Rock. I’m also able to dog sit :-)
